Ditto :)

I'm not above using Merriam-Webster's thesaurus, either.

Oh no! If my Roget's was taken away I'd be totally sunk. I use writerexpress too.

wow
I can't believe it............

No one told me about this shit earlier
:D

I don't purposely rhyme, it just happens in some writes. If I use any sort of aide then it's my Webster's thesaurus and dictionary. It sits in my icon tray waiting for me until I need it... it's so handy that way ;)

Don't you purposefully rhyme if you're, say, writing a Petrarchan sonnet? :p

Yes you do ;) But I've never written one... I'm too dumb for metre and rhyme to do forms, let alone a sonnet.

TOO DUMB??? ptooey, I say, you dont write those hard-to-write form thingies cause they dont interest you...not at all...right? I wont lie, I admire people who can do them, and have read many a wonderful form poem on here, but they just dont blow my skirt up either, :)

and Tess, no, its not cheating, no way..first off, anyone who wonders if it IS, probably wouldnt cheat at anything and guess what? I know this makes me sound really dumb ( er), but I never even heard of a rhyming dictionary till I came on here and someone sort of implied I had used one...lol...now, thats funny to me..my rhymes usually just happen, like neo's...only mine arent quite as good ;)

maria, who rhymes with chorea :D

Listen if Google is outta the picture and I can't go on fact-finding missions, my poetry will seriously suffer. :D

(And I haven't even mentioned Webster, Roget, Norton, Chompsky--I don't care, you name it--I'll consult it!)

I'm still thinking about blowing up Maria's skirt
:D

i love that scene where marilyn monroe is standing over the grate and her skirt is all blown up around her hips, isnt she perfect? I think her spirit visited me when I was sick...anyway, careful what you "think" about Big T, I am pretty good as ass-tral projection, you might get your chance tonight :D

oh yes you can!

I carry a rhyming dictionary

in my shirt pocket. The only problem... I often forget to use it. lol... I will use it when I write a villanelle or something else that repeats a rhyme again and again. But on some of the less intensive rhyme schemes I sit there scratching my head. I'll finish up and realize... "I could have had a V-8"

jim : )

Not at all. I couldn't do ryhme scheme if there was a gone pointed at my head, but i use the thesaurus every now and again. Even if you look up words its still your idea that puts it together.

Okay, I did a dirty triolet for my birthday last year titled, 26 Licks... but I had it deleted a month later because it was so embarassing ;)
