Is it becoming more acceptable for a girl to be a slut

Not saying it's anywhere near totally acceptable but is it better than 5 (10) years ago and is it trending that way. Just interested in what others think.

Pffft I think the word "slut" in itself should be banned...but I think its more acceptable for a girl to enjoy herself trying different men...yes

I used to think that but after reading "The Ethical Slut" I changed my mind and now like the word but want it to mean what it should.

Never could understand why it's ok, in fact encouraged for guys to 'sow thier wild oats' far and wide but considered taboo for women. We have exactly the same feelings and drives, but are encouraged to submerge them in the 'respectable female' image.
