Is it allowed?

Just asking, am I allowed to threaten castration, not actually do it in the story, but threaten to..."Cut them off!"

I've read stories where people were murdered, threatened with firearms or knives. Some where physical abuse and even rape was discussed after the fact, and even a couple where some physical abuse actually happened 'on camera' so to speak.

My understanding is that you would probably even be allowed to actually do it, as long as it's not overly graphical and doesn't read like someone is supposed to get off on it.

But my understanding is also that none of these rules are 100% solid all the time.
Worst thing that can happen though is that you're asked to edit it some before it can be published.

Yep, two examples come immediately to mind:

https://www.literotica.com/s/the-vice "Adrian's fantasy is to have his balls crushed in a vice..."

https://www.literotica.com/s/when-one-day-we-are-gone-ch-05 @oneagainst has a mindfuck with an elastrator

Policy is inconsistent, or at least the enforcement is. The first example in Joy's post is recent and I'm flummoxed it made it past the filters, as "castrated" in the text should have been snagged for eyes-on review. The second? Got me, that was published in the same timeframe when mine were being booted for unacceptable content, and it was significantly more violent than what I had submitted.

Anyway, I had two rejected in the past three years, the first for the suggestion of unfolding events with averted execution. It had a BDSM component, which violated the policy of snuff/mutilation in the context of sexual activity.

The other one published for a day and was then taken down due to a complaint. It was a NC medical neutering.

You might try.

A threat shouldn’t be a problem, as long as it does not appear to be a specific threat against something outside the story. Actual action should be fine as long as it is not excessively graphic or sexualized.

The author has mentioned elsewhere that it was previously rejected.

As long as it isn't supposed to be a turn on or something, it should be fine.

Now you have me worried. I'm working on a story where the main character is a cop and she works a couple murder scenes. Completely non-sexual, but definitely some violence. Hopefully it'll be alright.

Yeah, I saw that in the comments. It would be useful to know what they had to change. I've got something ready to upload that touches on a threatened "Cut it all off!" in a secondhand recollection of gang violence. It's almost in passing and is not in a scene itself, but it might trigger.

Come to think of it, I had a similar scenario last year - gang fight over a "stolen" girl - where the straight razor was kicked away, and there were no hiccups with publishing. It was also a secondhand retelling.

The story I'm working on has gang violence. A cop investigating a murder scene... I always thought that stuff was fine as long as you didn't make it seem sexual?

From one of my storiues that made it through...

The poor guy had even sterilized himself by using too small a ring on the cock cage. Too bad for him.

It may just be the wording you choose.

As I understand it from the content guidelines, characters may kill or be killed, and commit acts of violence against other characters, but death cannot be sexualized or intended to arouse. WW2 story where a pilot shoots down another pilot? OK. Guy jerkin' it while fantasizing about strangling someone? Not OK. Any sort of NC/R story where the victim is seriously injured is on the wrong side of the line; the content guidelines specify physical injury because mental and emotional probably go with the territory.

Also not allowed, most pertinently for OP:
  • Sexualized maiming, amputation, and female or male circumcision. We happily accept stories of amputees and their devotees, but do not post stories sexualizing the act of amputation or permanent physical harm.
To my read, consistent with the above: it can happen, it just cannot happen in a manner intended to cause arousal. Threat without action should be fine. It's also worth noting that the content guidelines are more strict for celebrity stories or fanfic; any sort of NCR, coerced-consent or dubious-consent is not allowed if real people or organizations or copyrighted characters are involved. Which means, technically, a cop investigating a murder scene probably needs to be from the Stateville Police Department rather than the NYPD if there's going to be any edgy sexual content.

Stuff that's much more graphic than that gets published on a regular basis. I wouldn't worry about it. I recently read a story where a double blowjob ended with both cocks being bitten off. The author had a weird name, like @EmilyMiller or something.

Ridiculous name. Loser energy. Pick a better handle, dork!

That was my understanding as well. None of the violence is sexualized. It's a female cop dealing with the emotions of seeing murder victims, etc.. there's sex, but it's all consensual and non-violent, completely separate from the violent scenes.

If it helps, I had my angel and demon fiancées bite off the cocks (not testicles) of two ‘guys’ post-fellatio. Now the ‘guys’ were actually Nephilim, but 🤷‍♀️.

I'm starting to feel like the "Simpsons did it" of this forum is "EmilyMiller did it". 😁

(Just for the record: I consider both cases compliments)
I write such a wide variety of stuff. Doesn’t do me any favors in many ways. I pick up readers with a sentimental lesbian story and the lose them with my next novella being focused on hetero impact play (and vice versa).

Just to clarify, back in the dim and distant past when the site occasionally responded to inquiries, I PMed Laurel about this aspect of the story and and also the inclusion of a minor (who never witnessed any sex or violence) and was told, “Shouldn’t be a problem.”
