It sounds like they're comfortable viewing you in that sort of way, because your not likely to take advantage of their heart strings.
If you don't want a serious relationship it's alot easier to fall in love with someone you don't think wants one too, rather then someone you think would want a serious relationship.
But, I don't know your situation, and it sounds like your happy about it, so good for you!

This is a total compliment coming from this man. We layed there after not seeing each other for about 3 months, I was watching tv.. and he was watching me. He was playing with my hair, arranging it across my back, causing me to look up at him and wonder what he was doing.. when I looked into his eyes, something had changed. He wasn't looking at me like a fuck-buddy would, emotionlessly... he was looking at me like a lover.. he was looking into my soul. We both felt it.. but said nothing.
A couple days later at work we were talking about 'romantic things' and he told me that he dreams of being with someone and sharing special moments.. and dummy me thought he meant 'in general' (cuz we're both not looking for serious relationships).. later that night he asked me if I picked up that he meant me. I was in shock.. and still am.
Even if nothing more ever happens between us, which is probably the case, I'll still treasure the smile he placed upon my face.

Fly, this person was my first crush in 7th grade.. then he moved away and I never saw him again for 10 years. One day, I walked past the training room at work, and there he was! The same silly crush-feeling came flooding back. Come to find way back when.. it had been a mutual silent crush

Well Chey, we never became 'more' because he had just broken up with his long-time girlfriend.. and he was enjoying his newfound singleness. I wanted to give him space, and not crowd him and scare him off. We had long talks about how he just doesn't want to get involved with anyone 'commitment' wise, and I was okay with that.. especially cuz I, myself, have issues and don't feel commitment-ready either.
I assume nothing more will develop because it's a hella lot easier to accept that.. then assume anything more.. and ultimately be brokenhearted from any potential rejection.
Make sense?
If something does happen between us, well, I'll just cross that bridge if it goes there.
In the meantime... I'm just enjoying this total elation I feel.
