Is Gaia telling us something ?

3.5 is barely worth mentioning. A hiccup in the bigger picture.

Be glad you're not in Iran, they just had a big one.

Bearing in mind that the UK gets a 'quake every once-a-flood, this is quite newsworthy. The fact that thousands stayed alive is immaterial.

We had a 5 point something a year or three ago felt round here and I was quite surprised; I realised late what it was and wondered what to do next (not having a handy helicopter, you understand). THen it stopped.

A 3.5 is not an "earthquake". Hell, in SoCal we stir our coffee with stronger shakes than that!
Now, now, don't boast.

Their 3.5 sounds like a very cute earthquake and we should coo and praise it :cattail:

Edited to add: Besides which, VM, I think the Brits could easily say something similar about our complaints over all this rain ("You call that a lot of rain?" ;) )

Even here, up north, we usually rely on the news media to inform us we've had a 3.5...

Usually they don't even bother to do that. Sometimes they have some dead time and they apologetically mention the 3.5 tremor just to say something to fill it.
