As if that bogus "Free Speech" "Spam" banner isn't still illegitimately flying up there toward the right-top corner of this website's page! Once again that eyer chap is far, far ahead of the boring status quo.

Me? Well, they do say a picture is worth a thousand words...

But, I digress...

Evidently, lesser debate has begun:

The free speech wars are getting worse, but it seems that none of the warring factions quite grasp the character of the dispute — or precisely what's at stake.

...Isn't it far better to encourage bad ideas to come out of the shadows, where those who espouse them can do battle (and face defeat) in their name? That's the old liberal case for minimal restrictions on free speech — a case that will sound compelling so long as people have faith that the bad ideas, when publicly defended, will lose.

What happens when that faith begins to wane? We're in the process of finding out.

You still don't understand what free speech is.

You still don't understand what free speech is.

He's speaking of free speech not freedom of speech as defined as a limitation on Federal infringement in the US Constitution in the first amendment.

but there you are all loaded up and ready to make the First Amendment does not apply argument even though that's not the argument he's making.

Understandable, You definitely should be embarrassed for yourself.

Especially the weaksauce trolling effort of declaring what someone else doesn't understand without illuminating your implied greater knowledge. Sad!

I'm embarrassed for you.

US Constitution says FREEDOM, which mean DO WHAT YOU WANNA DO, only once: don't abridge FREEDOM of speech or the press. Of course that freedom is constantly abridged, so feh.

LIT says FREE SPEECH but this is a private site whose owner needn't accommodate anything she doesn't like. Them who don't like the rules can start their own sites.

BB is only trolling, and weakly this time, with a thread title that's hardly clickbait. BB in his varied tedious alts keeps spewing similar Moscow propaganda memes, little laser dots for a few LIT kittehs to chase. Hardly worth the effort. It's lonely in his basement.

FREEDOM also means NOTHING LEFT TO LOSE. What remains of you?

Unilever warns social media to clean up “toxic” content

Funny, isn't it, that Unilever doesn't possess the actual integrity to stop paying ad ops because they don't currently approve of their free speech permissiveness (which is actually becoming more draconian regularly), but, instead, they're blackmailing those ad ops that if they don't get even more draconian re their free speech permissiveness, they will quit spending $$ with them altogether.

Individuals freely exercising spending their own $$ with whomever they wish is one thing, global corporate conglomerates wielding trade as a socialist political weapon is quite another.

Unilever as full-fledged SJW will die within 5 years. The entire point of commercialism is to appeal to as many folks as possible - and it's totally human nature that such a humongous amount of folks is going to be NATURALLY about as diverse as diverse can possibly get - duh.

But that's the "immoral" way to do SJW business today; rather, a company radically defines its "market" DOWN to just the preferred bigoted customers it wishes to deal with, and refuses to deal with any others.

I thought Walmart already schooled mom and pop on that old-way, bigoted, now virtually extinct marketing practice. And a global conglomerate like Unilever, with overhead expenses to match that reducing their paying base so drastically will never begin to cover, think they can old-school DICTATE in an even more growing and diverse global market? HA!

Such a small, rigidly defined, self-erected potential market will guarantee Unilever's commercial existence is nearing it's end...

...as free speech slays another wannabe.

Cool thing about the inalienable majesty of free speech: as Google and Facebook do their own SJW duty by more and more draconingly stifling natural free speech on their sites, and cave to fellow SJWers like Unilever (just to keep snorting their $$), their existences will more and more naturally near their own ends.

(If you haven't noticed yet, both Google and Facebook are declining in almost all aspects already, and the statist clamor (by both labels of the same statist bottle) for statist fed/state government to come down big time on both is really only in its infant stage.)

It's like if this website keeps going more draconian re free speech and even finally listens to the Blurt Bitches who pimp totally getting rid of free speech by making users pay to post...

...that GB market would consist of no doubt at least 75% less than what it does now - but at least it'd be almost the exact Lemmingville all of its total bigots dreamed of.
