Ex-prime minister of Japan Shinzo Abe was shot at close range by a passer-by and said to be without vital signs in hospital. His influence is like that of Clinton, Obama or Trump, which still lingers long after his retirement from the post. Though generally Chinese people do not have a good feeling toward this guy due to historical reasons, his personality and strong will still impress as an individual. China's foreign ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian in the regular press conference expressed the concern and wished him an early recovery.

Japanese police arrested a 41-year-old man in the city of Nara after former prime minister Shinzo Abe was shot in the neck while giving a speech.

shame they didn't arrest the fucker beforehand for wearing his surgical mask BELOW his nose... could have prevented the assassination :(

The security officers were slow in reaction, they did not even clear the site before the speech. How could they have had listeners stand behind a VIP? That is a taboo. If it was here in CN, even all of the audience would be all replaced by secret agents. Real audience could get the gist of the speech at home or through TV or social media.

Listen to you talking like it's normal to have an audience of just secret agents. You commie cucks have no balls. Overthrow your government and enjoy freedom.

Japan does not have a history of gun deaths. Before Abe there was one shooting in the whole of 2022. Japanese security services do not expect gunmen.

Moose & Squirrel would still foil your nefarious plot.

But they should - 1 job keep him safe
the section chief downwards should all be on negligence charges

They are all being investigated. But, I repeat, using a gun in Japan is almost unknown so the threat was seen as minimal.

Living in a country like ours, we have got used to everything. They talk their talk, we walk our walk. From cradel to grave, every single of Chinese people does not trust anybody but himself. Sometimes you see they are very obedient and foolish, but if one heard the story of a mangtis who tries to eat a cicada actually has a bird right behind it who wants to eat it too, then he knows every one is as foolish and stupid as the other.
In this case, what surprises me most is that there are local Japanese who hate their politician more than Chinese rivals and that they have done something Chinese want but fail to do.
But here I would like to reiterate, we Chinese love peace, knowing that violence does not help to solve world problems.
