Does anyone else have a thing for Irishmen? Maybe it's because I'm not Irish at all, or that they are just sexy. What do you all think?

I think that you are just infatuated with the Accent... :D

Just RRRRRRRoling them RRRRRRRR's (in the best Irish accent that I have, more Scotish/Englesh then Irish tho..but the RRRRR's Still RRRRRRRRollll :D)

E

You may be right, but as long as they roll those RRRRRs in the right places, I'll be just fine. :D

Ooh, yeah, I love those Irish accents. Unfortunately, all the men of Irish decent in my family were drunken deadbeats. Fell right into the stereotype. *shakes head sadly*

Irish men are fine if you want the accent attached to a person with the emotional weight of helium.

Lots of alcoholics in my family, too.

I find this very amusing and incredibly inacurate. I don't think any Irish man I have met has been either a drunkard or a brainless twit. It's more the sing song way of speaking that seems to enchant so many women. My dad had it and with his black hair and blue eyes he was quite the charmer. He was also an extremely intelligent man. Neither he nor his brothers drank. They all were deep men with a dark sense of humor. They had an incredible sense of family and loyalty.

Oh yea they are adorable...

:p

My mother used to tell me to go back to Ireland to find a husband, just for the genes-- We're one of the few 100%-Irish families I've met. My boyo is French and German though; go figure.

My family falls RIGHT into the stereotype, unfortunately. You forgot prejudiced-- my cousins are so deeply prejudiced they refuse to go to mass until "they get a pope who ain't a wop."

Oi...

lol my parent's families NEVER got along.. My mom's side is Irish and My Fathers Sicilian.

Both sides are deeply prejudiced in their own ways, mainly against each other's nationality. LOL

What about the Scots? (he said holding his whiskey)

Personally, that is one of my favorite accents. Makes me weak in the knees. And it's even better wwhen he's wearing a kitl! :)

Sweet cherry, I am running out to get my kilt from the cleaners. (he said holding his whiskey)

I've never actually heard a genuine Danish accent, so anytime you would like to demonstrate, I'd be more than happy to listen. :D
