The USA has sent teenage boys on a preemptive first strike of a sovereign nation to steal its oil and kill its government.
Blame Paul Wolfowitz.
Dantetier said:Well, according to CNN, Iraq is husing Woman and children as Human Shields. And people still think these are people we shouldn't fight?
You need a lesson in the rules of war ...damnit .. I'm tired of you trying to blame us ..... IRAQ is the one in violationp_p_man said:Yes. There's no reason to fight them.
If the US hadn't attacked they wouldn't have used human shields...
So it's America's fault as usual...

Rule one: War is the last resort. If another option is present you should take it.The Rooster said:You need a lesson in the rules of war ...damnit .. I'm tired of you trying to blame us ..... IRAQ is the one in violation

War is the last resort ... I agree ... but after 12 years ... Saddam has left us no choice .. he had his chance to comply ....... he blew it.Blindinthedark said:Rule one: War is the last resort. If another option is present you should take it.

1984 -- Orwell
War is peace.
Orwell was trying to make a point of how stupid war was.
This enemy is like none the US has ever faced. These terrorists are motivated by faith. Faith is only strengthened by the resolve of war.The Rooster said:War is the last resort ... I agree ... but after 12 years ... Saddam has left us no choice .. he had his chance to comply ....... he blew it.
To secure peace IS to prepare for war ... your potential enemies must know there are grave consequences when they threaten and or attack the US ..... for most .. this is the deterrant that has stopped countless wars .. a lesson Iraq never learned ... maybe this time it'll sink in ....
Their Faith will will not hide them, will not protect them and will not help them ... as President Regean once said "You can run .. but you can't hide"Blindinthedark said:This enemy is like none the US has ever faced. We will not run scared, we'll stand for what is right and what we believe in .. we'll do what must be done.Blindinthedark said:I understand the US need for revenge and retribution but I am sure that it will only buy more suffering for US citizens.
Brute force is all that Saddam and his criminal regime understands ..... if he and his troops do not surrender ... they'll be slapped down like an unruly dog.Blindinthedark said:I'm not against the removal of Saddam but true change can never be forced by violence.
Unless the US is willing to cause a genocide the likes of which haven't seen since WWII there will be no end.The Rooster said:Their Faith will will not hide them, will not protect them and will not help them ... as President Regean once said "You can run .. but you can't hide"

Then all those surrendering soldiers are . . . ?Blindinthedark said:This enemy is like none the US has ever faced. These terrorists are motivated by faith. Faith is only strengthened by the resolve of war.
I'm more sure that without acting, the suffering will be greater.Blindinthedark said:I understand the US need for revenge and retribution but I am sure that it will only buy more suffering for US citizens.
Tell that to Germany and Japan.Blindinthedark said:I'm not against the removal of Saddam but true change can never be forced by violence.

In case you haven't heard that may be a strategy of attack. Besides did the attacks on the US make you want retribution more or less?
I'm more sure that without acting, the suffering will be greater.Tell that to the Israelis. They've been fighting enemy for decades without succss. Israeli attacks only lead to more suicide bombings.
Tell that to Germany and Japan. From what I understand the Nazis sentiment hasn't died. Their running for political office agian. And the US track record of Nation building of late has been less than successful. Korea, Veitman, Loas, Cambodia, Somalia, Cuba.

Maybe the Tojo Govt. in Japan?
The Hapsburgs still in control of Austria?
How about the Emperor Napoleon?
Maybe we should discuss the current colonial status of the American Colonies.
History proves you wrong. Decisive violence results in decisive change. Half measures do not.
