Anyone know of a way to install or how I can get Flash to run on a new iPad? Thought just installing Chrome would do the job but no luck there. Any help?

Steve Jobs made it impossible to get Flash on iPad. He had some kind of tif with them, I think. If anyone can figure it out, I'm interested.

The only hundred percent reliable way to get it to work is to jailbreak your ipad.

Hmm... Actually called tech support on this and the guy (not from India, amazingly!) was hinting there was workaround but being an apple guy couldn't say more.. Hoping someone out there would know.

*edit to add* ag's butt is good as reason to hijack a thread! :D

I'm sooo not getting you any helpful advice.

Flash works on Windows, Flash does not work on the iPad.

Whatever that means.

It basically means flashing the firmware to an open-source non apple based firmware.

Firmware is the base component of electronics. It holds program data such as software/hardware settings, etc. etc.

Stock firmwares don't allow for certain functionality to to be run on a device, meaning it won't allow you to run code that isn't signed for the device. By using a custom firmware it allows you run programs/coding that you wouldn't be able to using stock firmware.

WHAT IS JAILBREAKING??!!!

Do I have to break some hacker out of jail to get Flash?

There a web browser called puffin that has flash in it.
Another is photon flash player and browser

There are several browsers offered in iTunes, such as Photon, that offer Flash functionality. Some are optimized for games, others for movies.

Go forth and find your answer.
