I'venoticed the term "gender girl" or gg or variations of that, in a few discussions about trans people dealing with more normative women. But "gender" is your inner identity, so all of you CDs and transitioning ladies are gender "girl" too

Here's a better word:

"Cisgender" (or cisgendered) is an adjective used in the context of gender issues and counselling to refer to a class of gender identities formed by a match between an individual's gender identity and the behavior or role considered appropriate for one's sex.[1]

Kristen Schilt and Laurel Westbrook defined "cisgender" as a label for "individuals who have a match between the gender they were assigned at birth, their bodies, and their personal identity", complementing "transgender".[2] A similar adjective is "gender-normative"; Eli R. Green wrote, "The term 'cisgendered' is used [instead of the more popular 'gender normative'] to refer to people who do not identify with a gender diverse experience, without enforcing existence of a 'normative' gender expression."[3] There are many derivatives of the term in use including cis male, cis female, and cissexual.

I see people use it in all sorts of ways; "I'm still a little bit cis" or "I was cisgendered up until a few years ago..."

So many words to learn, well to the people who wants me to call them cis gendered, you got it. To the ones who wants to be called trans gendered, you got it. To the ones who are "old fashioned" and wants to be called transsexuals, you got it. And to the rest ? well if you want to be called a man, then I will call you a man, to those who wants me to call them women, then I call them women. And those who does not want me to call them, well that is fine by me too. I learned about the cis part on reddit, something like 6 or 7 months ago, but it seems to me it has been used on the internet since 1994 (I have no idea of WHERE). I am more like "fuck it !" when it comes to such stuff lately. But I respect what people wants to be called and what they do not want to be called.

So I can now say, "Stop being such a Cis-y..." in a whole new set of circumstances!

Well I do prefer cis-gendered to "GG"....in fact GG makes me feel twitchy in the eye. And I always thought it meant genetic-girl...a claim that I would in fact make myself.
