Good day folks. I figured I would just pop in, introduce myself, meet a few people, then submit.

Literotica has been a name fired at me on a few occasions in the past. I write an adult webcomic that has, in the past, had some small success, but more recently I have been writing a tale of conjoined erotica. It was hosted elsewhere and because of the site's policies it had to be 'toned down'.

I found that considering the site in question had an option to turn on and off the mature filter, this was something of an annoyance...so rather than see my work watered down, or risk offending someone, I pulled it.

I've since rewritten it, added the erotica that I REALLY wanted in the story in the first place and so here I am :)

I'm not a great writer, I do it for the love of it...to get those ideas made flesh, to get the images in my mind out onto a shareable canvas. Although I love to draw as well, writing gets the full picture out there in ways that no drawing can manage.

In a piece of art, if you say "The woman was lithe and beautiful." it has to be reflected in the art, no schoolboy scribble will convince people otherwise...but...with writing, I've already done it :). The very fact that I said she was beautiful, the image is painted.

So that is why I am here, I hope I can pluck up the courage to release my first story within the next couple of days, but more than that, I hope that I can make a few like-minded friends along the way :D

Welcome! I look forward to reading your story when it's out.

Keep in mind that illustrated stories take a little longer to post than plain text. More steps involved in the processing, which also means that you should carefully check the final posting to make sure all the images are displaying -- etc.

More steps equals more possibility of things going wonky :)

Normal stories are taking three days to post if you're lucky, and 4-5 on average, so there's a good chance you're looking at a week, and maybe more, since it will be your first submission, which usually takes longer to post as well.

Ignore any "views" showing up on your author page while the story is pending. They're not readers or even moderators looking at your story. There's some sort of a glitch causing that, and it's nothing to be concerned about.

Welcomes

Thank you for the welcome, I'll be sure to post updates as I go...there's a lot of existing material of course, so I'll be trawling the ones that interest.

I should add a caveat to avoid any potential annoyance; I was in no way implying that writing is easier than art, just that it comes easier to me, as I have just realised how what I said could be misinterpreted :p (I think that just proves that writing can be tricky too :D)

Thanks for the heads up, duly noted. I may add an illustrated story once I have more time and have familiarised myself with submissions.

Have a good one ;)

Hi, Trog, and welcome to Literotica and the Authors' Hangout. This is a nice place to hang out and discuss writing or anything else. :)

Lit. has some very inflexible rules, mostly about people under 18 years old being sexually involved and bestiality. Both are strictly forbidden. Other rules are a little harder to pin down, such as rape and BDSM. If the latter is consensual, there is no problem, but if a person who has been abducted is whipped or otherwise abused, that might cause a rejection. A brutal rape, especially one that causes injury, is almost always rejected, but if both parties end up enjoying it or if it is role-playing, that is not a problem.

There's a Visual Artists' Corner here, too. You might want to stop by and look around.

A  for the little newbie from the good little witch.

Trog, welcome aboard. This is the ship where the mutineers have taken over. Stand by to repel trolls!

Welcome :) I'm new here too. Submitted my first story and a poem. Still awaiting approval. Nice to meet you!

Everyone's got their talents and their deficiencies. I wish I could draw worth a damn. If I could draw and write, I'd be able to make some fun webcomics (erotic and not). Sadly, I just plain can't do both, so I stick with the writing.

I look forward to seeing your stuff, so please, post links here on the AH when it goes up. Welcome to the club. (And for this forum, remember: the ignore function is your friend. There are trolls here. Just ignore them and don't get involved. It dramatically enhances your overall enjoyment.)

Thank you one and all. I have to say this is one of the best welcomes I've received upon joining a new group. I look forward to chatting.

I have read the restrictions quite thoroughly and my first story is going to be a little tricky to pigeonhole.

I suspect it will fit into BDSM, but it is lesbian too and has the added quirk of involving a set of conjoined albino twins.

All of the erotica I write is consensual, so that box is ticked :)

As for trolls, not a problem, I'll not bite back, I'll just banhammer :D Nobody has time for that kind of behaviour, thanks for the heads up.

My drawing is okay, but slow. At some point I may try to drawn my lead characters in the story I'll be posting.

Thanks, I appreciate the info.

Well isn't that just the sweetest thang :)

Thanks cherub :D

Welcome to the madhouse. If you weren't when ya got here, you will be when you leave. ;)

I'd watch using the word "Thang" around glynndah. Also be careful when trying to look up her skirt in that shiny bubble. Those flying monkeys are such tattle tails.

Ah, but they have such interesting tales to tell!

I surely wouldn't stand for those loose lipped spies. If I was there, discipline would be the order of the day. Rest assured, there'd be a whole lot of monkey spanking going on.

Who said there wasn't?

Did you ever wonder why that bubble was always so sparkly?

That tall one over there says he'll meet you out back.

Magic, not monkey spanking.

Heh, heh heh. It's because I aim to please.
Whoever told you yours sparkles lied.

Welcome TROG!

All of us at ScouriesWorld are delighted to have you join our group.

FYI: One thing that most newbies do now when they join LITEROTICA is that they go to my home page and click the “Add to Favorites” button (just click on SCOURIES WORLD below and you'll be transported to my home page immeadiately). It’s become something of an initiation rite on the site. Once done you’ve really become a LITEROTICAN! And a scourian

Good luck!!!!!

For the sake of your sanity ( and keeping down your lunch ) ignore the egomaniac troll above.

Welcome Trog. I hope that you find some success here in posting your webcomic here.

I love webcomics. I have been a long time reader of gucomics.com (if you are a gamer you may know about this one. It is not an adult webcomic, but an extremely well done gamers' comic that has been around for almost 12 years.)

Also, you would be best to ignore everything that scouries and his army of alts post, you can easily see who they are. First, they are nothing but bloviating diarrhea of the mouth. Second, his posts usually contain hotlinked photos that are from known malware sites. Third, he hasn't contributed anything positive to this site other than a "do not be like" example.
