I have hesitated to wade into this brawl so I will try to keep my remarks short. The world is a very complicated place. We are all human and we all make mistakes. As an American, here is what I believe.
You can disagree with me.
You can dispise me.
You can live next door to me in my country and tell me EVERY day how much the USA sucks to high heavens.
BUT, when you raise your hand to me, my brothers and sisters (Catholic, Muslim, Jew, Protestants, whatever) and their children in an effort to subjegate us to your own twisted violent version of your world vision, then you are MY enemy and I will do whatever small part I can to help seek you out and send you to HELL where your heart already resides.
Please keep my Canadian and other coalition brothers and sisters who are about to go into harm's way in your thoughts and prayers as they are going to have a shitty job of trying to organize and maintain some sort of peaceful coexistence after the U. S. A. troops depart.
We can't stay as it will be too hot and too tempting to reap *revenge* on the troops because we, of course, are evil incarnate and the root cause of ALL misery in the whole wide world.
I know the USA has not acted soon enough in many cases to fight against oppression and genocide in various parts of the world but at least we are TRYING to do the right thing when we can figure out what the HELL that is.
I would rather be the one to go in the place of one of the young men and women who are going into harm's way but I am too old a fart for that to every happen.
Innocents are going to be hurt whether we (the coalition) do nothing or something. We only hope we are saving more lives than we are taking.
They stuck at the heart of our nation and we are NOT EVER going to stand for that.
