confession....?
this puts me in mind of an interesting story from my earlier youth. i guess i was about thirteen or so, and i was staying the night at my friend elizabeth's house. we were both budding young girls having fun exploring our newfound sexuality. well, for some reason, her mom needed to go to the church that night (she was part of some comittee or something) elizabeth and i were left to our own devices. she knew the church well since she went there every sunday, but i was not a church going kid so i was fascinated as she showed me around the huge dark catholic building. she showed me the confessional, and explained what the padded bench was for. we knelt down side by side on it and confessed imaginary sins that we could only imagine. it wasn't long before our young fingers and mouths were exploring each other's bodies. we didn't do anything too "hard-core" we were just kids, after all. on the way out behind her mom, we both stopped and knelt in front of the huge morbid crucifix at the front of the church and crossed ourselves with bright secret grins.
