FWIW, I dated wildly across the board irrespective of ethnic features or background. I simply did not 'see' those differences when my younger self. In a pretty superficial way I am ashamed to admit: what got my attention was simply the opposite sex. I put it down to hormones.
It's ony later in life when I began fetishising some of that. I think older men are more prone to develop fetishes (of all kind), typically in response to not getting it often enough or at all with their significant other stale marriage kind of stuff, or divorce etc. I am over generalising of course but it's a tendency I have observed in me and others.
