Last night I suddenly lost my internet connection on my Dell 8200 with an ethernet card. I have a D-Link cable modem that feeds a D-Link wireless router as well as the 'puter.
My laptop with a wireless card worked fine, and this morrning I hooked up a USB wireless receiver to the main 'puter and it woks. I haven't checked wires yet from the modem to the computer but I will.
This is a repeat problem and the reason I have the USB wireless reciever. Several months ago I had the same problem, ran wireless for a while and suddenly the modem/ethernet card started working fine again.
Any suggestions, comments or ideas? Think it might be best to just bight the bullet and put a new ethernet card in?
