Aoccdrnig to rscheearch at an Elingsh uinervtisy, it deosn't mttaer in waht oredr the ltteers in a wrod are, the olny iprmoetnt tihng is taht the frist and lsat ltteer is at the rghit pclae. The rset can be a toatl mses and you can sitll raed it wouthit a porbelm. Tihs is bcuseae we do not raed ervey lteter by it slef but the wrod as a wlohe.

Not exactly recommended for good writing but interesting nonetheless!

This somehow doesn't work too well. I think it's because the sound 'oo' has to be together. 'Spoony' or 'Snpooy' perhaps?

You're probably right, so I'll go for
Spoony Love, from up above :)

There is a hell of a lot of difference between bedroom and boredom.

And that's all I have to say about that. :)

Cool - adds new meaning to skim reading :D And all those quiz questions that ask you how many 'F's are in the following paragraph (always knew there was a valid reason why I missed several)!

None of this one sentence story/ 3 word story / your best sentence threads in plain old english - I want to see it in understandable gooblegook!

Speak for yourself! We vole-lovers find them almost indistinguishable and certainly synonymous.

You must also love wombats then. Aaarrgghhhh! I said the W word. See what you made me do.

Therefore, I hereby declare, that I never have typos. It is only a test to make sure you can raed waht I wrtoe.

I am in bad need of a good fcuk.

Ya know? With these kind of words, there is absolutely no way to change them around while maintaining the first and last letter's position? (Well I did change the e's in need and the o's in good, but you probably can't tell.) Huh. Did I find a loophole?

Colly, this should work for you...if the last word looks like gibberish you should be able to pull its meaning out of context. But I agree, it is no way to read all of the time. Crosses my eyes if I try to go too fast. :D

Or voles and loves.

Or united and untied. And other anagrams. I was able to follow the words in the first sample because they were all short and not too confused. I don't see how it would work for long words, especially if double letters were being separated or prefixes and suffixes were being garbled.

re mixed up spelling.

Has there really been research into the spellings of words and their readability?

If there has, maybe you could direct me to it.

Thanks a lot,
