A women who I chat too on line once told me if there were more men like me in the world the divorce rate would plummet.

It got me thinking that would the marraige rate plummet as well?

The other funny thing I was once told was I'm in the wrong country.

I think the high divorce rate is directly correlated to the high rate of people rushing into marriages they aren't ready for.

As to the question "Do you always research so thoroughly?" When something is a part of your life so intimately as a neurological disorder, it is irresponsible to not educate yourself about it. Especially when it is something that can be dangerous to myself and those around me.

My disorder can (and has) effect(ed) my romantic relationships. It has forced me to apply the breaks so that I don't get too caught up and hyperfocus on a girl. "You've never been romanced until you've been romanced by an ADD person," -Jonathan Scott Halverstadt.

But I guess the real reason I was so thorough is because I hyperfocused on it and just shot it out as fast as my fingers could type. (It is really hard to not hyperfocus.)

I grew up with my brother who has severe ADHD but I didn't really know any of the science behind it so that was a really interesting read. My brother came off all his medication because he felt controlled by it, and he seems to be doing ok, but i disagree with your statement that

people who aren't ADD don't feel anything when they take it

becuase i used to steal my brothers ritalin all the time and get high when i was bored.

I'm always interested in learning more about it. That was a very interesting post

i learned a lot too and i'm adhd possible bi-polar but a lot of that applies to people with adhd too since it and add are similar. thanks for the information

i read an interesting thing once about nice guys finish last. I don't know how that would affect the divirce rate, but it seems many women are looking for a perfect asshole. They ignore guys that are there through good and bad, know all their secrets, and are the ones offering a shoulder to cry on. Instead they want the badass macho guys that are assholes who turn them down and don't want them, but after some time of the girl practically throwing them selves at em, they take em use em and leave em. That's more less the abridged version of what the guy wrote, and for the longest time i trully believed it. Just like i guess it's rare for guys to especially in their teens and young 20s to be trully compasionate and carring and all the things girls want. Same is for women in reverse who can actually look at a geek or a nerd or the quiet kid and see the possibility and not the effect on their social status.

Anyways i think i'm rambling. I didn't mean to offend any women, but women who actually would approach the shy guys would more often than not be pleasantly surprised. I'm 23 now and still girls of my age are looking for the perfect asshole. In my opinion women are quite often more shallow then men. Thank god i got my perfect someone already in my life, cuz i don't know how much more of that life i could have taken before giving up on trying to find someone.

I heard ya' buddy. I've often wondered if I have to turn arsehole just to get anywhere. The truth is most women our age wouldn't know a nice guy if one bit them in the arse.

Frustrating. Hence why I only go for women who are least my own age.

You know, I remember talking about this with my cousin and his friend when I was working in So Cal last summer.

Our consensus wasn't that they crave ass holes, but that the ass holes were the ones that had the balls to ask them out first. Thus setting an early standard.

But I've talked to a few older girls (24-26 range) and apparently there flip around age 23 from asses to nice guys. Bare in mind I got these opinions from girls graduating from an undergraduate program in college. So your results may vary depending on where you are.

i have never wanted to date the "asshole" type of guy. doesn't do anything for me. i always wanted the guy that opens doors, pays more attention to his girl then that stripper looking chick at the bar lol, gets his girl stuff for no reason at all other than she's his girl.
