I suspect there are a lot of great places on the web for poetry. I came across one called Born Magazine that is really cool. It melds poetry by some well-known contemporary writers with visual effects by some talented digital artists.

Do you know any innovative sites; places that are pushing the envelope for literary art?

Fly, I saw your thread title and was coming in to post about Born Magazine! Really. :)

Anyway here's one I love.

UBU

It's not like Born, but it has all kinds of innovative stuff on it and an amazing poetry mp3 archive.

Honest to god! I've known about Born Mag for about a year. There are other places that meld art forms to create--I guess--online performance art, but I think Born is the best.

But you'll love UBU. Wait till you see what's there. ;)

I just did. I have been listening to William S. Burroughs from "the Wild Boys" :)

Check out Helen Adam reading Cheerless Junkie Song. :D

She was something else.

I was at that reading. It was at St Mark's Church On the Bowery on a New Year's Eve long ago. She brought down the house with that poem.

I remember a poem you wrote about that night. But I can't remember what it was called. It was a good one, if that helps narrow the list :D

You know I love all your poems!

It was about Burroughs. I remember--I called him skink thin. lol.

I had everything organized. Then I moved. I had two discs, one all poems and one illustrated poems, photography, and mp3 files of me reading poems. They're here somewhere now. I don't know where. There were probably about 300 poems on those two discs.

I try to be zen about it. :)

And JUDO started the thread, Snidely.
