I like the record number of Executive Orders they've had.
 
I like the open criminality of the presidency.
Much better that hiding it behind the curtains.
Everyone can see and decide for themselves, is it really OK and how far can it go.
The price has been more or less set to buy a pardon.
Israel has been given the green light to decimate a city and it's inhabitants.
Global contracts to fill family coffers.
Putin has been declared 'crazy'.
A golden dome to be built so no American can escape.
Not even the first year completed.
So much more to look forward too.
 
What I like:


-they believe in equal rights for everyone...women's rights, the LGBTQ community, Blacks, Muslims, Asians, Latinos, Jews, whatever. People that helped make this fucking country and continue to make it GREAT. Pun intended.
-they want to restrict the gun laws that are whacked out because there are shootings in schools, malls, theaters and so on nearly every single day
-they believe in science when it comes to things like...protecting the environment, covid/vaccinations, protecting the FDA and well...because science is rooted in fact and not some BS made up shit to appease voters or just increase bank accounts etc
-they dont believe the absolute bullshit about schools/teachers/books converting people to become gay or trans or NB etc which is absolutely batshit crazy and sad that teachers and educators have to deal with that shit on a daily/weekly basis
-they generally try to follow the constitution with regards to separation of church and state
-they generally respect the law and consitituion. we all know kamala as an example had ZERO interest in being there at trumps inauguration. but she didnt contest the votes or incite a riot like...ummm, whats the d-bags name again?
-they care about everyone on the planet, not just the 50% of the population of this country that are conservative
-in general, they have my interests at heart...or so they project even if it isnt always true and/or they cant always fulfill those promises for one reason or another


what I dislike:

-they are fucking pussies as a broad statement. This is most evident in campaigns but also on a daily basis with the media and standing up to Trump or the GOP in general and so they take the high road (honorable) but it gets them nowhere (so they need to play hardball more)
-too much in-fighting. they rarely unite behind one person. it was amazing when they did with kamala and walz, but thats also because everyone saw biden couldnt get a word in in the debate. while he was clearly losing his marbles, trump rarely answered the questions and gave 10 lies in each answer so biden had no idea what to do..r.efute the lies, answer the question...etc. so he stumbled badly. but before with hillary, bernie, warren, etc.
-they lack focus. to be fair theres so much shit to try to "fix" but trump did it right by focusing on half truths about the economy, pivoted eventually with the bs about eating cats that went nowhere except when the morons ate it up...and kamala just didnt focus enough on the economy. and trump's scare tactics about immigration worked.
-a lot of them have amazing ideas but arent grounded in reality and/or their timelines are just suspect. Nearly everything AOC says I agree with. But she has no plans and/or they just arent realistic.
-The people that I do like a lot (Mayor Pete, Booker) have zero chance because racist America will never vote for a gay man, nor ANOTHER black man anytime soon. They need to rally around someone and someone soon actually. Start building momentum NOW.

Theres probably 10 more things I hate and twice as many more that I like but thats an easy n quick response

1) They at least pretend to care about minorities and women, as opposed to actively trying to make things worse for them. Even if they don't actually do that much to help minorities and women. That's still better than actively fucking them over.
2) They are not anti-science or anti-environment but actually care (or at least pay lip service to) the idea of conservation, green energy and global warming.
3) They have altruistic values, versus outright corrupt and greedy. (Well bad choice of words; there are plenty of corrupt democrats! E.g. the Clintons!)
4) They are not actively trying to strip away individual freedoms, and not trying to transform our country into a theocratic neo-Gilead/Christianized Saudi Arabian style repressive government.
5) They are not trying to do an end-around of the Constitution and remove checks and balances of the executive branch.
6) They are NOT DONALD TRUMP. (This alone is good enough.)

Granted, there are many, many things I do NOT Like about the Democratic party. They are not perfect by any means.
But many people on this forum long for a theocratic, Neo-Gilead style dictatorship, long for an oppressive tyrant, care nothing about the poor or minorities other than an innate desire to see them oppressed and crushed. I consider such values, so commonly expressed on this board, to be borderline sociopathic and have no use for such people. Of COURSE they don't like the Democratic party. They don't like Democracy, in general.

I like that the Democrats have supported both Israel and Ukraine in their current wars. They took a lot of heat from the left for supporting Israel, and from the right for supporting Ukraine, but they still did the right thing.
 
Since you asked what I like about Democrats instead of just bashing Trump, here’s my honest list:

  • They don’t call military members “suckers” or “losers.”
  • They honor fallen soldiers and support veterans with expanded benefits—not cuts.
  • They believe healthcare isn’t just for the wealthy or lucky—it’s a basic human need.
  • They uphold alliances and honor foreign agreements instead of alienating allies.
  • They treat the presidency like a job, not a golf vacation.
  • They work within the system—respecting courts, Congress, and the rule of law.
  • They’re not afraid of opposing views. They debate, disagree, and compromise.
  • They don’t praise dictators or threaten to invade democratic countries.
  • Most Presidential decisions are not hauled off to court to overturn every damned day.
No party’s perfect. But Democrats, at least, still seem to believe in democracy and public service over personal ego. That’s a baseline I can respect.
