I know you can feel instant lust by seeing someone,
but..
can you have instant online lust? Just from words?

With an ongoing exchange it can build, but sometimes, someone's post or email will just scream fuck me and not even mention sex.

Yes, it's very possible to feel that instant rush of lust. Words are very powerful - they can fill you with hope and desire. They can bring your body to the point of no return. It's the imagination that goes along with the words, also. When you read these magical letters that are grouped into meanings, you are picturing inside your head the actions that are taking place. You can become those words, you can actually feel those words. That.... is lust.

One of the first erotic poems I wrote was after such an experience. What I was seeing before me was being played out in my mind as I was reading.

Have you ever read a poem or a book and been moved? It is the same thing.

Words can be more erotic than speech, because there is enough distance between you and the writer for you to use your imagination, filling in the blanks to your own specifications.

For example, I read miles' posts and hear his words in my mind through a soft, husky drawl, smoother than well-aged brandy. And I read april-wine's posts and watch the words formed by such soft, luscious lips... and just yearn to lick the corners of her mouth.

Something well written takes the reader beyond the words. The mind sees the scene or action being described rather than a sequence of individual words. One gets absorbed and doesn't see the words until a misspelling or a poorly choosen word suddenly snaps your mind back to reality.

I hate to admit this but, early in my marriage I used to visit the chat rooms over at IRC and I fell into instant lust with this guy from another state. We even got to the calling me at home stage and I almost was ready to give up my marriage for this person. So yes I do think instant lust can happen online. As for that guy and I, I stopped anything from going to far and repaired my marriage.

Sounds like you experienced a little more than lust, if you were thinking about giving up your marriage.

It will always be a mystery why certain people are attracted instantly to others. In person I can understand, but I think we must have internal monitors as well that picks up on certain word, phrases and emotions coming from the other person.

Instant Lust!! Yes I understand that feeling, I recently was overcome with 'instant lust' well I say recently, it was since a certain person came into my life, she knows who she is, I just hope that lust is just as strong in the other direction because it doesn't seem to be dying down it just burns hotter............
