I have been in the doldrums as far as writing goes lately - maybe you feel the same? Let's inspire one another!

Nope, you're not alone.

I have a horrible time finishing these stories that are soooo close to the end. If you get any spare inspiration, send it this way, please. :(

Tell me about your endings - maybe I can help

Oh, I know the endings, that's not the problem. I just can't seem to write them down, that's all.

Wow! Thank you!

That's the nicest thing anyone's said to me in a long time!

Mmm it looks delicious and I am sure that could incorporate Cherry pie into my next story some how!

Know what I've done in the past in this situation? Put a continuation on one of my older stories. The base idea is there, and it's easy to branch off of, or it could even lead to an idea for a whole new story.

I'd love to read a story about a woman being held by the hair and pushed into an actual plate of pie (made by another female) and forced to tell her how much she loves her pie in highly suggestive language.:D (this story would involve humiliation) afterwords- would any real sex happen? Idon't know, it all depends on were the story leads. Mabe said female could then taste her own pie on the poor victims mouth and then tell her to be fair, she will eat her pie as well. Only this time....

OF course the unwilling girl realizes that she loves it and relents to the girl on girl tongue action:)

Sweet.......sounds to me like you just wrote yourself a story.

Of course, it will need a few more words, and the odd piece of dialogue and description, just to flesh (tee hee) it out before posting on Lit.

Me, I have currently 9 or 10 stories in my pending file, 2 or 3 almost complete, a few more well into the story, but needing much more work, and the rest as merely outlines and ideas.

I need a kick up the arse, disconnection from this place for a few days, and the threat of no food..until I finish at least one of them. Food deprivation would definitely do it.

I think.

:(

I'm cyclical. The muses visit for a 1-2 month stretch and then skip town for 1-2 months. They bolted after I finished "Boiling Point" and I haven't seen 'em since. If it hadn't been for the solicited help on the Poetry forum, I'd not have even finished my latest poem.

With everyone preoccupied with reading the nominees, I'm not sure this is the best time to be posting new material anyway. I think I'm going to just target the Earth Day Contest and stop stressing about finishing anything sooner than that.

So, where are you in the process, Goldie? Do you have partially completed stories? No ideas? Can't be arsed to edit? Finishing touches?

:rose:

im stuck too. would like to get something done before going back to work...
working on a project with absy re: holiday murders... a journal from a woman convicted of being a serial killer. im stuck on st. paddys day.

gunter the garbage man... damn that bastaid! he doesnt want to play...
i dunno... im just way stuck right now.

And my muse came back last night.

Now to handcuff her to my chair so she don't bugger off again.

I almost forgot I submitted a story to Lit last night. God, I'm getting forgetful in my old age.

I've had a muse on the loose attack and have been merrily writing away. I was inspired by where I live and the history around here, then I took it a different direction.
Not sure if it helps, but it worked for me especially since I started researching...that usually leads to another string of ideas.

Try choosing any place in the world, research it online and keep reading things about it and looking at pictures until some characters come to you.

Alternatively, you could do the same with any time in history.

Or I guess you could do the same with a job or profession.

Sometimes you can get inspiration just by broadening your knowledge of what's out there. :rose:

Thanks everyone - lots of food for thought there! I have a few ideas rattling around but when I start writing them down the sparkle seems to go!!
