Past 3 nights have only gotten about 3 to 4 hours sleep each night. Even thos hours were not a deep sleep.

Anyone have this or found anything that helps you sleep?

Ball peen, claw, or sledge?

I have no good answer. The usual things (regular exercise, good sleep hygiene, no caffeine, don't look at bright screens before bed) work well enough, but sometimes there's still an unseen force holding my eyelids wide open and it puts me in the mood to punch things.

Not sleeping is shit. I need a good 8 hours or I'm fit for nowt. You have my sympathies. If I consistently struggle with sleeping I do resort to drugs though, usually take my migraine pills which have a muscle relaxant in and they knock me the fuck out. Unfortunately they are off the market until next year, if they come back at all.

This. I haven't had anything you could call a regular sleep schedule for years now. Some nights I crash early and wake up in the middle of the night, some nights I just don't sleep at all, then crash the next day. Sometimes it's a week of sleeping two hours at a time, two or three times a day, followed by a 12 hour crash on the weekend. Sleeping pills might knock me out at first, but I develop a tolerance far too quickly, and they leave me groggy the next day.

Mostly I just deal with it, nap when I can, and go through Laurel's Good Reads thread when I'm up late.

Ball peen. No need to go into a coma.

Of the few things I do well, sleeping tops the list. My tips: never nap during the day, don't read in bed, have some alcohol and an ibuprofen PM before turning in. And use the bedroom for sex and sleeping exclusively.

See I read a lot in bed and can't switch my mind off when I close the book.

Thanks for the tips. I have been doing all those but the hammer.

It only happens 2 or 3 nights a week. Other nights im fine.
