Placing pics in pms and posts? When I click on the "insert pic" icon above it gives me that little xxx but what do I put in the x area?

If you have somewhere to host the pics..like photobucket, imageshack etc..you paste the 'direct link to image' url there and it will display in that message.
If you look down the bottom of the message box (in additional options) you'll see a manage attachments button. This will let you upload straight from your hard drive and the pic will open in a new window when the link is clicked by someone...
hope that helps! :D

You put the url of where the image is located.

http://www.ravin.ca/Dumbshit/juggspray.jpg

In this case, it looks like this.

[.IMG]http://www.ravin.ca/Dumbshit/juggspray.jpg[./IMG]
(without the periods in the IMG parts}

the url is where the image is located. So if you have a place where its hosted (in my case, my server and domain ravin.ca) you'll easily be able to put it up.

Hope that helps.

Some common errors:

Any URL that begins "File//C:/" won't work. The URL has to be one that is accessible to the Forum software and must be absolute and unambiguous. Your C: drive is a "relative" location because it's relative to YOUR computer.

The URL must be to the IMAGE file. Database calls (like attachments), Qualifed image id's (like Yahoo albums references) or links to the HTMLpage containing the picture willresult in a Red-X instead of the image.

The URL cannot be password or hotlink protected.

Also, PMs do not have the attachment function -- if you need to use the attachment function to upload an image from your computer, it has to be a thread or post.

What do you mean by "additional options" please? I don't see anything that says that.

Never mind, I see it now. Thanks.
