There is a large ugly hair, and potentially lethal Black widow spider preventing me from getting to my last three boxes of CD's that I have stored in the garage. If there are any desert dwellers on this list, I really need to know the name of a commercially available spray...better still, a repellant, because if there is one, there are probably more. She's a huge bitch so I am worried there is a family somewhere...

thanks in advance

Raid?

I doubt there are too many spiders round in there....spiders are cannibalistic you know.

Hey Rhys! When I lived in Nevada, we used to get some pretty big ugly scary spiders around our house. I killed them with Mr. Bubbles tub and tile cleaner. Give it a try...trust me!:D

Eat It! LOL

To control the black widow, carefully remove all materials where they might hide. They can be cleaned out of an area simply by knocking down the webs, spiders, and round, tan egg sacs with a stick and crushing them underfoot. Removal or destruction of the egg sacks may help control the population. This spider is resistant to many insecticides.

This Is What I Found, But Really You Should Just Leave It Be To Eat All The Horrid Insects That Abound In Yer Land:D

I have no problem with them getting nasty and fat, OUTSIDE my house. Its inside that I have a problem with...

and as to eating it...I do have a little clay spice jar that holds Wings of Bats and another for Eye's of Newts...

I don't know of any repellents for spiders, but using a fogger in your garage will leave a residue of insecticide that will kill any present and any that come in for the next month or so.

If you can find any, Raid make a fumigator that doesn't leave a residue on everything in the house/garage, but they're getting hard to find lately -- probably because of some stupid lawsuit by someone who can't read warning labels.
