I haz one.

It was a rather mind-blowing week. I mean, I always knew I had a sort of Thing for kilts. But given, finally, an opportunity to actually act on that, well, it turns out it's a Seriously Over-the-Top Uncontrollable Major Fetish.

So I wondered if anyone else around here is into kilts at all. For me, the kilt is ideally on a very large dommy boy, but pretty much any kilt on any man is going to catch my eye.

Am I the only one?

No, you are not the only one.

I wouldn't say that it is a fetish exactly, but it's a good day when I see a guy in a kilt.

I almost passed out from barely controlled excitement when I went to Scotland. Oooh boy that was nice.

lol.
Rahrr.

I think I can never go there now. Seriously, I just don't know if I could control myself.

This was partly inspired by the lovely Wenchie's thread on accents and what they do to her.

And maybe there's a larger question here, even. What minor little "leanings" have we had that, when we finally got a chance to act on them, turned out to be really huge and defining turn-ons?

How funny, her thread made me think of the same thing...

She was sorta asking a more general question too, but then it turned into a discussion of accents and I didn't want to interrupt.

I might have to write a hot Kilt Story now. Or search keyword 'kilt' in the story area, except that I might land on some godawful historical romance or something.

Kilt + BDSM?

*off to learn how to use the keyword search function*

Definitely no the only one who appreciates a man in a kilt. I wouldn't suggest going to St Patty's day in Savannah either...or maybe you should.

heh heh.

I think it would only be safe if I had a willing kilt-wearing victim for me to ravage after the parade.

Since I don't wear underwear it would let my balls air out. But I wouldn't wear one here in public.

It's funny. They bring out BOTH the sub and the dom in me.

This week I got to finally find that out for sure.

Looks like you got a kilt-wearer of your own there. *grin*

I will find out all about men in kilts in October me thinks! ;)

You have fun and enjoy bj! :rose:

the first guy i ever kissed wore a kilt, he was like 6'7, very dominant, and dead sexy. kilts are the shit.

Then you would be safe as houses...if there is one thing that isn't lacking after the parade...you just have to take your pick before their stout kicks in.;)

I have heard similar sentiments from many men. But they don't know what they're missing.

I suppose you have to be mean enough to defend yourself if someone decides to fuck with you about it. But I haven't noticed kilt-wearers being fucked with nearly as much as they think they're going to be, even in my rather rural neck of the woods. There's something about a man wearing a kilt that implies he's tough enough to take the heat.

Maybe it's that rep the Scots and Irish have for being good scrappers.

True enough. But I can always just tie him up and wait for sobriety to settle in.

The modern kilt as worn these days is a english invention during the victorian era when all things scottish were fashionable due to Victorias shooting and fishing holidays(vacations) in balmoral. The traditional kilt is worn in a plaid(Bit like a toga) and also served as a blanket.Tartan as we now know it is also a recent invention, before clans differentiated each other by badges or tokens in their bonnets. These days the kilt is pretty much only worn for weddings or in the army but true to form a true scots man wears nothing under his kilt!

Malin has both types.. the traditional one that he wraps all around him, and last year, one of his OSO's made him a few for Penn-sic. They're more of just a skirt.. but I still like 'em

Mmm. Pennsic War. Now there's a place for a grrrl with a kilt fetish.

Been about twelve years since I went. Maybe I should go this year...

Mmmmmmmm .... kilts ....

Got a guy that wore it on a date with me. Let's just say that it did not stay on long :D

I've worn the modern one, and have a plaid that I wear in the archaic style for the occassional costume, the occassional SCA event, and even the occassional scene.

And utilikilts are frequently for sale at fetish events. I've thought many a time about picking one up for myself. I'd prefer a dark plaid kilt, but utilikilts have pockets and such. Handy that.

OMG KILTS! *purr*

Yet another one of my obsessions. *giggles* (so it would have fit in my other thread, but I think it deserves a thread of it's own ;) )Infact, it's one of the reasons I learned to sew. It's my mission in life to get every man I know in a kilt. I made one friend of mine a practikilt (or the utilikilt that Hommy mentioned) for Christmas so that I could see him in a kilt more often. *giggles* Mainly I deal in the modern dresskilts, and if I get a stronger machine, then I'd do more practikilts.

I had one friend who was trading beatings for a kilt. WE decided 5 one hour sessions was equal to one kilt. He still owes me 2 sessions and I still have the kilt in my closet, if anyone wants to finish his payments. ;) He's long gone now, haven't heard a word from him in more than a couple years.

I tease Jounar about getting him in a kilt. He just laughs at me and thinks it's funny that there is such a demand for them here in the states. I don't mind, every one I sell gets one more man in a kilt and me $50 closer to a trip to see him. Win win for wenchie. :cathappy:

I love wearing my kilt. Kilt, combat boots, high socks, black shirt.

It's an awesome day when I'm in the bastard. Every St. Pat's is like my christmas.
