This may sound odd however I was hoping to gain some insight about Australia from actual citizens or people that have immigrated there. For several years now I've had a desire to relocate, Australia has appealed to me for some time. I have been doing research on the internet but thought I could gain some insight from people that live there. The Perth area interests me. I realize this is a rather open ended request. Anything that you wish to share would be helpful. Thanks in advance for any input

it's a flat, dry hellhole that unleashed yahoo serious and crocodile dundee on the world.

also, rose byrne and several other hot actresses that tend to come here and not go back. that should tell you something.

The country that gave us Elle MacPherson will always have a place in my heart.

From what I've heard, they have a lot of cool spiders and snakes.
The place burns down every other year.
People talk funny and drink a lot.
It's surrounded by sharks.
And Greg Norman is a fashion trend setter there.
Your welcome.

It's full of venomous snakes and spiders and things that want to eat you.

Then there's the crazy wildlife.

i still haven't forgiven them for kicking abby winters out of the country even though, really, they've actually gotten better now that they have all of europe to pick through. they're a bit whiter now, though. still, it's porn. that's hardly a shocker.

Politics here is wonderful. We've had five Prime Ministers in five years and when they're not too busy ousting one another they're truly devoted to the big issues - like Johhny Depp's dogs.

Didn't the Queen toss the last one out?

Everything is upside down so blood flows into their heads which bulge and explode. S'truth.

Clue: I see many Ozzies and Kiwis in USA but not many USAnians moving to the antipodes.

Best thing is Oz is an outlaw culture based on transported felons. It's the worst part, too.

Thanks for the feedback. 😀😀😀 how is a bi / lesbian engineer going to get along ? I know there is another board for this but I just wanted an honest assessment of the culture. And no I'm not a pot smoking hippie. I'm a pretty simple girl just looking to move forward

Perth is a great city, but it is also far away from everywhere else if you intend travelling.
Quite expensive too.
What exactly do you want to know?
