indy anyone?

I went once. They only turn left. The first ten and last twenty-five laps were okay, but the middle 165 were a snooze.

I haven't thought that far ahead for a pick. I'm still working on Richmond, next week.

But, these guys will definitely be on the top of my list for consideration.

8 - Dale Jr. - He's been pretty consistent all year. He hasn't run great at Charlotte yet (other than the Winston) and it's time.

17 - Matt Kenseth -- He's been running pretty good recently, definitely a contender if it turns into a fuel mileage race and at 600 miles, that's always a possibility.

20 Tony Stewart -- He's not running them both this year, he's been in the top 5 at the other 1.5 mile tracks this year. He might just be the guy to beat.

40- Sterling Marlin -- Red hot so far this year, he won there in October.

99- Jeff Burton -- Won last year's 600. This team is finally beginning to show improvement. If they don't win Richmond, they will be racing for their jobs (at least in their own minds).

15- Michael Waltrip -- He's always, always my emotional pick. He usually runs pretty well at Charlotte, and the 600 would make a great second win and early b-day present for me.

I tried going to a stock car race once with my family (my dad's request, I'd rather have been elsewhere). There was so much noise that I almost threw up. I can't imagine ever attending an Indy race -- or any other race, for that matter.

i am assuming you dont like jeff gordon or he would be on your list to win!!

Your assumption is somewhat correct. Dislike is a mild, tame, pale impression of what i feel for *that* particular driver.

He will *never* be on my list to win anywhere.

do you actually go to the race and watch or do you stay outside and party?

I'm inside the race, watching, listening to the teams on the scanner, screaming my head off.

I do *not* drink any alcoholic beverage within 48 hours of attending a race. It's simply not safe. I am loud, excited, and can get on people's nerves when i'm completely sober. Me at a race with alcohol in my system would not be a pretty picture.

This rule would be broken immediately after the race if Michael Waltrip won, however.

(to give you an idea, when Micahel won the Busch race the day before my birthday in 1993, i screamed, cried, jumped up and down for a solid five minutes)

Taxi cab racin'....
