I've wondered this - why do you guys think that Jesus Christ was crucified?

I'm not sure on how the different religions differ on the events of his life and death.

I'm pretty clear about the resurrection part and afterward though.

Well, I don't believe any of it, to be honest. But I think what really gets me about that whole theory is the idea that just being a good person, and doing good during your life is not enough to make you worth saving in their eyes. If you don't hand your soul and mind over to some higher power - ie: Jesus - you don't warrant being taken to safety when this happens.

Well obey is a word I have instinctive problems with anyways. But, if I were to follow a religion, it would be one that believes that you are allowed to have free will and thought, while still being considered a good enough person.

We do not believe that! You should do some reading about Islam. We believe that the divine message was tainted by christians for their own gain.

The same message had been said by Musa (moses, pbuh), Isa (pbuh) and so forth. There is no God but Allah (SWT) and he has no partners. This is the message that Muhummud (pbuh) reiterated and it is backed up by the Qu'ran which is the divine revealation! Mohummud (pbuh) is the seal and the last prophet in a line of prophets.

The unity of God (Tawheed) has always been stressed.

The Jews say their book is the "Divine Revelation".

The Christians say THEIR book is the "Divine Revelation".

Your attitude is no different from the believers in the other two male skygod religions. Religion is the #1 killer of human beings. Your god does not exist, nor do any of the other gods.
