Falls on Saturday. So, which day is your workplace giving you off this year?

I have to ask when I go to work today.

I doubt I get an answer before Wednesday . . . .

I'm off on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and the following Monday.

Then I'm taking off on Tuesday the 8th through August 29th just for fun.

Friday is the day off for the 5-8's crowd. Monday is the day off for the 4-10's crowd. I will have guys in the field, so even away from work, I never an really away.

Friday.

After years after working in retail, even now holidays mean nothing to me.

there are no holidays in healthcare, just days you get more for working

The hospital recognizes Friday as the holiday. I'm working on the 4th but wont
get holiday pay.

It's always a fun day for finger amputations.

I asked my union guys which day they wanted Friday or Monday, by seniority of course.

Since I'm going to be working I took off Tuesday - Friday, back to work on the 4th.

Is it still called an amputation if it gets blown off? Isn't that more of an avulsion?

I make my own schedule and am not working Friday - Sunday. Fireworks, a parade, and no alarm clocks - should be a nice weekend.

Once the avulsion happens the remaining flesh and bone is a flail. Cleaning that up requires amputation which, I assume, is her part of the procedure.

The official word at the day job is . . . Monday.

Which is good, as they have me on call this week, and if I had Friday off, I'd lose overtime, and that sucks monkey balls.

I'm never ever off on the second job and hope to pick up some extra work there.
