Had a moment this weekend, where in the midst of playing, I had the most palpable sensation that a former lover was holding down my hands and whispering in my ear. It wasn’t the same voice, but the tone, the ease with which her lascivious suggestions dripped off her tongue. I knew him almost half a lifetime ago, but suddenly the two of them converged in my mind. It was more than just a fleeting memory, I felt him in her touch.

Have you felt the ghostly presence of a former lover? Anyone left such an indelible impression?

Please share with the class.

I had a boyfriend whose voice sounds like a famous country singers. When I hear those songs I think of him. Luckily we broke up amicably.

I changed my mind.

The name of my poem should be "The night was humid" and not "The night was moist."

Meet me at he Hawaii Hilton to discuss the rest of our arrangement.

5 points for using the word indelible. When I'm done with someone, all that's left is a ghostly presence, but they usually don't bother me much.
