My submission ‘Learning to Swim’ finally hit post today. However, there is a very important paragraph, initiating an orgasm, omitted from the top of page 4. It SHOULD read as follows (omission in red bracketed-italics, followed by the properly included start of the page):

[She bit at herself again and sucked sharply…

A swell began to grow somewhere inside her. She had felt this a few times before. While rolling around on her bed thinking bad thoughts. Rubbing her clit quite precisely the way He was. And sometimes fucking a finger in and out of herself…]

Sometimes, when she found herself on her belly, humping her naked ass up into her hand - while the vision of a proudly curved, very erect penis, was everywhere - as she ground her pubic bone back into her other hand on the bed… she had almost peed herself. But she always made sure to stop herself before that actually happened. She wondered if she’d stop herself this time… Or would it be ok… to pee. ‘Propriety and Sex have nothing to do with each other…’

Etc…

Without the lead in paragraph – the moment is completely thrown by the confusion of ‘Huh? How did we get here?’ As there is no ‘bed’ at the Present Tense location. Am I now forced to resubmit the entire story and hope the same thing does not occur? Not to mention another lengthy delay?

I’m all about the rhythm. Everything is penned out with that in mind (though I know the above quoted section looks fucking juvenile by itself). And I can’t stand to have a couple chords spliced out. The reader was patient enough to wait for the promised release (female ejaculation)… and I want to deliver it properly.

Anyone have any ideas how to fast track the correction needed on this story? Is that possible, or do I need to yank it and re-submit it as EDITED. Which probably requires another complete re-read for the Editor, which is unnecessary). Please let me know…

No you don't need to have your story deleted or yanked out from the site.....BUT...unfortunately you will need to resubmit it with the same title....just add EDITED at the end of the title. And in your comment box on your submission page leave a note to Laurel that you're resubmitting it because when the site posted your story a complete paragraph was deleted and without it the story isn't complete. You might have it posted faster....BUT I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you. It seems there is a bigger backlog of story than usual these days and it's the reason why it takes longer for stories to be posted.

Okey Dokey. Thanks for the help.

(Very fetchin AV, btw. Um... yes, yes indeed.)
