Kicking around a plot bunny in which the MMC sees, early one Saturday morning, a girl he’s always been friends with (never gone any further) in a coffee shop with his mother. They don’t notice him. It is obvious from their behaviour and such that they are very much more than friends, have probably spent the night together. The boy will never move on his mother, but is suddenly very interested in the girl. How would that tale (especially if he succeeds with her) be received in Incest/Taboo? It’s obviously got a fair spin in that direction.

If the story is about his spying on them, watching them, then you can always stick it in E&V with a content warning.

I think incest readers would expect him to nove on
Mom and you will do better in E&V (though bet less reads).
If the website moderators disagree with your placement, they may bump it into Incest anyway, as happened with my It Ain't Incest If...

Thanks. I was more thinking of one of two options:

a) son winds up in bed with girl mom had sex with earlier, which adds a weird dynamic in itself, or

b) son winds up in bed with girl, who however continues her affair with his mom. Son and mother never get it on themselves.

My story How My Mother Met You kind of does the opposite of this (boy meets girl, girl starts affair with mother). It's sitting at 4.0 which is well below the category average, but not completely demolished. Got some pointed comments claiming it was a cuck story and thus wrongly placed - though I did fly close to the son and mom getting on only to swerve at the end. My feeling is you might be better elsewhere.

In my experience, incest readers want incest and nothing but. I have a mother/son story where the mother is also sleeping with a priest, and typical comments were: "Lose the priest! He is a distraction!"

Was thinking in a different tangent. Guy loses his father early in life and becomes the man of the house supporting the family. At some stage stakes claim on his conservative mother. Mother gives in as she cannot have sex outside. Son and mother have it until it's time for son to get married. Mom gets jealous and shows it on the bed with serious performance. Son gets married and his wife understands the dynamics. She suggests to her husband to have sex with his mother and then begins their threesome. Can be further extended with their offsprings - a boy girl twin becoming a part of the incestous family
