Incest Writers Beware

I was curious, so I typed my pen name into the Google Search engine. As expected, I found a few references to my efforts on Literotica. What I didn't expect was to find a couple of my stories on a site called IncestCream.com. I examined the site and found they had my Aunt Ellen story, but only the first and third parts. The site had an amateur air about it, which might explain why they missed parts 2,4 and 5!

To add insult to injury, they had lost all the formatting to one of my pieces so that it was all one big solid block of text, dialogue and all.

I wrote to them and requested withdrawal of the stories, as only Literotica has the right to publish my work at the moment, so far without effect.

The site uses an adult verification company, ProAdult.com, to whom I also wrote, asking if they condoned theft. They replied immediately, to their credit, asking me for verification that it was my work and that IncestCream were using it without permission. I replied on 27 December.

Curious, I had another look at the site today. Google had given me URLs for my stories. These were of the form http://www.incestcream.com/xx.htm, where xx is a two-digit number, in the case of my stories, 55 and 56. I thought to myself, 'I wonder what I'll find if I change the number in the URL?'.

Paydirt! Or maybe, No Pay but lots of Dirt. I recognised quite a few of the names from Literotica and found others searching within Literotica. If the following Literotica authors care to replace the xx in the URL above with the number I give in parentheses below, they too will be able to read their stories in white on a black background.

In no particular order:

Yay! Finally, another site has decided to steal one of MY stories! I was getting a bit peeved, these dirtballs were stealing stories left and right, and not ONCE were one of my stories taken. What, I don't rate, my stuff isn't GOOD enough to steal?

I went to the first one that was mentioned, but it had too many graphics and I hate taking the trouble of applying for some kind of special ID to get in there. I visited the other and as far as I can see nobody has stolen any of mine.

Ha, Christo, I'd forgotten, or maybe I never knew, that you were from Pbgh! I was there last week. We spent a week visiting my daughter, who's studying for her Ph.D. there. I've grown up in the flatlands, and was absolutely fascinated by all the mind-blowing 3D views just everywhere. But I think I'd develop SADD and have to have one of those special UV lights prescribed for me if I had to live there.

The XX method doesn't work now

The suggested method of accessing stories by replacing the xx with the number I gave in the initial post above no longer works. Either the site has gotten crafty or Laurel is on the case. So far as I can ascertain it's an Eastern bloc site, registered in Kiev by 'Tina Turner'!

I have no intention of obtaining an ID to check the site out, although the authentication people seem to be US based. If anyone does/has, let the rest of us know, please.

At least, if she had kept the name intact, I would've dismissed it as the harmless actions of one who had actually liked that one... the only thing changed, however, seems to have been the names. Looks very deliberate to me...

I've got literary tracers in all my stories. I had my 6 th book plagiarized and having some very distinctive phrases embedded in the text allowed us to collect $20,000 in statutory damages without ever having to go to court.

Lit. has the nonexclusive right to publish your story electronically. "Nonexclusive" means they can publish but you don't lose any part of your rights to publish anywhere else you want to also. Sometimes a publisher loses interest if the story has been published anywhere before, including on the Internet, but nonexclusive publishing rights can still be granted to them by you if they agree to it.

Yes, they're unlikely phrases or word order. Or possibly having a particular word every 12th word or the xth word starting in the yth paragraph spelling something with the first letters or the xth word in a paragraph creating a sentence (steganography). Things like that.
