Well, the first mom does yell at her son that she didn't raise him to say things like that! And I believe her. As Bramble said, boys don't look to moms in these cases. And a teen/college age boy will be tempted to not only go with what his peers are doing, but out do them in order to be the admired leader. So, what boys do sometimes goes down to the lowest/most extreme common denominator (not always, but sometimes). The one who can be the boldest, whether at doing tricks on a skateboard or saying the dirtiest thing to a passing girl wins over his peers.
