😄 I'd appreciate any help I can get at the moment. It's a groin/abductor muscle on the right side.
JaF, I feel your pain. However, and not to add insult to injury ( :rolleyes: I would never insult you), what’s bothering you is an adductor muscle, either longus or brevis, located in the inner thigh, which moves the leg inward.
From PhysioPedia, “Hip abduction is the movement of the leg away from the midline of the body.
The Hip abductor muscle group are located on the lateral thigh.
The primary hip abductor muscles include the gluteus medius, gluteus minimus, and tensor fasciae latae. The secondary hip abductors include the piriformis, sartorius, and superior fibers of the gluteus maximus.”

I bet you never thought you’d get this type of anatomy lesson on Lit!
Best treatment for a muscle pull is cold packs initially, anti-inflammatory meds, rest and then warmth and massage to help loosen the sore muscle. Get better soon; we need you back to your regular saucy self.

Abductor is the inside of the thigh...which is what hurts whenever I do Squats or pivet on my right leg.
Adductor is upper, outter hip...which feels fine.


Wait... were you trying to be clever and meant to type out "add-dick-to-her?" 🤔

While I have a great fondness for JaF’s posts - both images and text - it’s not true that I’m addicted to them, nor do I want to give her a certain male appendage. ;) 😁

However, I disagree about the muscular anatomy, which I have actually studied in detail as part of my training. Abductors move a limb away from the [midline of the] body - think abduction as in forcibly taking a person elsewhere - while adductors move a limb toward the [midline of the] body. For motion of the thigh, the adductor muscles attach between the medial (inner) surfaces of the femur and pelvis. The abductors attach between the lateral (outer) surfaces.

Adductor Longus follows the original pain at the top and now it only hurts on occasion towards the thigh attachment. It does feel stiff often but loosens with stretching.

Do I have to take a test on this later?!

Yes, a hands-on, practical test of all muscular anatomy will be mandatory! ;)
 
Do you have a PT plan for me? Does it involve two people?
I am not now, nor have I ever been, a physical terrorist, although I have been subjected to their painful ministrations at times. (That which does not kill us....? o_O)
Warmth, gentle stretching, and gradual rebuilding of strength is the approach to take with pulled muscles. If you can make that a partner exercise, it can be fun, rather than work.

That’s a good stretch, and the butterfly ones you were doing in the earlier (and now vanished) picture are good for your sore inner thigh. Remember not to be too vigorous until you’re back to full strength and flexibility.

As for being a good listener and providing solace at any time, your ability and expertise are fully evident and proven, so go for it. Nobody will refuse your offer. 🫂🤗🫂
