In search of blood...

Delta savored the taste of his blood in her mouth. She licked her lips and smiled at him. "Tastes good still." She slid closer, her long skirt still reaching the floor. She let go of his hand and pushed her long black hair off her shoulders, behind her then placed her hands on his lap.

Jurzx looked down at Delta's hands, then up to look into her eyes.

"Still good? A woman's memory never ceases to amaze me." Jurzx said, eyeing up Delta again.

Delta smiled. "I'm sure if I wasn't a vampire it wouldn't be this good." She traced a finger up the crease in his pants from his knee. "But, of course, if I weren't a vampire I wouldn't be here now, she licked her lips and smiled again.

Jurzx flicked his tongue over the underneath of his fangs.

"No, you're right. If you werent a vampire, I wouldnt be able to enjoy the pleasure of your company." Jurzx said, placing his hands on hers.

He tried not to get his hopes up. She had only asked him what he would need to do. It wasn't like she'd said 'yes' straight out. He couldn't look her in the eye. He couldn't see the revulsion that was sure to appear there. His voice was weak.
"I would need to feed from you... and then... have you... feed from me." He swallowed hard. "Your body will escentially... die. There will be... pain... alot of it." He closed his eyes, unsure wether or not he could continue.
"There is more you should know. Blood is essential to any Vampire, True or Half. While true Vampires need human blood, all the time it seems, I don't. I can get by for a few weeks without feeding. Normal food tastes the same to me as it does to any person and I can get by on it. And when I do need to feed... The blood doesn't have to be human." He stopped talking. Only the heartiest of souls had made it this far in his tale, but this was the part where all of them backed out.
"After the turning is complete... In order for it to ground itself and keep you from going mad with blood lust, your first feeding would have to happen with in a few hours of you waking up, and... It would have to be... Human." He looked into her eyes, dreading her words.

Charlie sat with wide eyes as he told her, having sat up shortly before he told her. After he had finished she sat in silence, trying to gather her thoughts on what to say. She glanced across at him, then down. She did this a few times, still unsure of what to say. "But..." She glanced at him, "But..."

Delta looked down at his hand on hers and smiled at him through her fangs. She pulled her hair over one shoulder and stood, crossing her arms over her chest and walked to the balcony of his room. She looked out to the street below then spoke. "How did you know that lone figure was after us? Or at least after you." The wind moved her dress, pressing it to curves of her body. Whisps of her hair floated on the breeze.

Jurzx followed Delta with his eyes to where she stood on his balcony, and he rose, walking a few paces to stand some distance behind her for a moment, inspecting her figure from behind.

"I knew him from ages past. Plus, being as old as I am through the centuries, you gain the knowledge of being able to 'sense' in a way who is what. For example with your new found friend in the club."

Jurzx moved forward to stand fully behind Delta. "What is the matter my dear?"

Delta felt Jurzx right behind her now. She turned and looked up at him. "Nothing." She placed a hand on the side of his face. "Even after all these years I don't see you for your age, you have learnt to blend in with the change of each time period. I still live at the joint mansion, near the club we came from, and you, you have this." Her fangs had retracted, leaving a human-like mouth to speak.

Jurzx placed a pale hand upon Delta's wrist and turned his head to lightly kiss her palm.

"Blend in with the times? I am out of date by 150 years." Jurzx grinned. "I overslept you see."

Jurzx pulled Delta close to him, and looked down into her eyes. "Are you not happy in your joint mansion my love?"

"It's getting too cramped. Everytime Lord Derire meets a lady, he changes her instead of just draining her, so that means at least two new additions each time wakes. My room that used to have two other coffins has half a dozen." Delta looked up at Jurzx. "He has grown bored with those from my century."

Jurzx continued to look down at Delta.

"Well.. being Count of this land, I could have words with him. He does not need to remain Lord" Jurzx said evilly, raising Delta's hand and kissing it softly.

Delta smiled at him. "That could be fun." Her hand tickled where he kissed it. Her other hand went to his back.

"Shall I speak with him then?" Jurzx asked, moving his other hand to Delta's side, pulling her up to more, staring into her beautiful grey eyes.

"I don't think that will be necessary. But if you wish to, I won't stop you." She looked into his eyes, she could feel the pull of them, which any mortal would succumb to almost instantly from gazing into them. She looked away then leant up and kissed his cheek, closing her eyes.

As Delta kissed his cheek, Jurzx remembered the familiar feeling of her lips from oh so long ago. He turned his head quickly as she kissed his cheeks, and their lips met. He kissed her...

Delta opened her eyes and looked at him, his eyes opened as well, almost drilling into hers, as he gazed into her eyes. She melted into them, like she had when she first encountered Jurzx. Although the first time would have been from her mortal heretage. She remembered back to the party her father had thrown, having invited lords and ladies, counts and countessas. When she had first met Jurzx.

Jurzx stared down at Delta, and placed his hands on her sides, running them up and down her curves of her sleek and lustrous form.

"What are you thinking my dear?" Jurzx asked Delta

"The night of the party that my father threw, when we first met. How quickly I had fallen into the depths of your eyes, all through dinner I watched you. I know I wasn't the only girl there to do so. You sat several chairs down from me on the opposite side of the table next to Lord Derire. He also had a pull on me, but yours was more powerful." Delta paused. "What do you remember from that night?"

Jurzx smiled. "I remember you from that night. Your looks, how you looked, what you did, what you wore. Most of the events are a blurr, my concentration was elsewhere. Tell me" Jurzx said, leading Delta to the bed, where they sat.

"I remember the dance. We started off on opposite sides of the circle and I moved slowly, agonisingly towards you, whenever I could I would watch as you spun a new partner, wishing that I was her." She paused. "The partner just before you, one of my friends, he decided to be silly and spin me faster, away from him. You caught me around the waist. Then, after you caught me is a blur, but I remember standing out on the terrace with you." Delta shifted on the bed. "What were you concentrating on?"

"What I was I concentrating on?" Jurzx repeated Delta's question outloud to himself. He looked up into her eyes. "...You" Jurzx said, and he leant in to kiss Delta on the lips again

The little color that was left in Charlies face soon drained out of it. "H-h-human?" She asked, looking at him. "I have a one night stand and now I gotta turn Vamp?!" Her eyes fell to the bed again, as she took a deep breath. "What sort of human blood? Anyones?"

He shook his head slightly.
"No, Charlie. You don't have to do it. All you have to is say 'No' and you walk out that door unharmed. I won't stop you. I will make it so you won't even remember any of this. You will go back to your life and you won't remember anything that happened here. You won't remember me. You won't remember meeting me at the club, this apartment, anything that happened in this bed."
He raised her hand with a finger under her chin to meet his eyes.
"Just say the word... and this all goes away."

She looked into his eyes and they were so truthful. "Julian...." she sighed. "Why are you telling me now?" She wanted to cry. She wrapped a blanket around her naked body and stood up.

As they kissed, one of Delta's hand's moved to Jurzx's lap, she ran it slowly up his leg, moving her fingers in small, teasing circles, dipping to his inner thigh.

"Because... I want you to have the choice." He said as she stood up.
If she walked out the door, he would keep his word, she'd never remember him. As much as seeing her go would tear him apart and intencify the lonelyness he'd been feeling for so long, He would keep his word.
"I've been on my own for a very long time. I... I'm sorry." He said, his eyes on the floor. "I never should have done this." His voice was filled with sorrow.
He got up, the lights in the room falling on his naked, muscular body, and made as if to leave the room.
