"In Praise of Older Women"

I've been bumping around these boards for a while now, and it occured to me today that I don't remember ever seeing a thread at Lit dedicated to older women.
I mean, geeze, when I was 18 I thought 'old' was 30 something. Now that I'm pushing 50, I see so many sexy women well into their 40's and 50's. Some of them right here at Lit. Starting with my Arden.
And, there are so many women celebrities up there in age, yet they still have that sex appeal. Women like Dana Delaney, Kim Basinger and Kim Cattrall who are all very close to 50.
Of course, it's not just that sex appeal. Their intelligence and life experiences make them that much more attractive, I think.
A couple of years ago I saw the "Thomas Crown Affair" with Pierce Brosnan and Rene Russo. I nearly fell off my chair when I saw Rene (then well past 40) doing more than one nude scene in the movie.
So, here's a picture of the sexy Rene and my humble praise of older women.

I was "18", she was 26...and she taught me well.

I see women 26 now, and they're younger than my daughter.
Older is better. Life experience plus the acquired sexual knowlege = total package.

Today marks the second half of my 49th year. Next year I celebrate (?) the big 5-0.

I'd like to point out that while you appreciate older women, I feel the same for older men. Younger guys hold no sexual appeal for me... give me a man with experience and life skills anytime.

When I was 21 and living in the borough of Queens in New York City, I met a neighbor lady who was 44. We spent a delightful summer together and she taught me how to please a woman.

Prior to meeting Barbara, I dated lots of women my age - but, they wanted to get married and have lots of babies. I wanted to have fun and enjoy sex as often as I could. Barbara was looking for a lover - and, we became the perfect couple.

After a while my friends became envious of me because Barbara and I saw all the sights of New York and enjoy ourselves immensely. My friends were dealing with high maintenance young women who wanted to be fawned over.

I finally married at 27 - to a woman of 25 who had her act together. I will always be grateful to Barbara for sharing so much passion and pleasure with me.

Women are like wine - with age, they improve!

As an older woman, I would like to thank you Soron for this thread. I have gotten better with age. I am not one for being fawned over and am confident in myself. I also am somewhat independent.

I wonder if the self-confidence and the independence is one of the many things that make older women more attractive and better lovers?

You echo my sentiments exactly. Only a mature man, one that has lived life and learned it's lessons, and knows how to care about others beyond superficial levels can float my boat. I need so much more than a sexy body... a keen mind, mutual respect, and the ability to give their love freely comes to mind...

In two weeks I hit the half century mark and I still remember the first time I had the hots for an 'older' woman. My best friend and I snuck into see 'Carnal Knowledge' with Jack Nicholson. Of course there was the part where ol' Jack was in the shower and Ann Margaret was laying in the bed, butt nekkid. She had to have been already in her thirties. I seem to remember having a few fantasies that night. lol
Jaybird mentioned self-confidence and independence making a woman more attractive and I totally agree with that. Arden has raised two good kids and mostly on her own. I admire that about her.

The self-confidence, knowing what you like, AND not being afraid to speak up and ask for it are attractive qualities. Like Ladybird says, give me the 'life skills' every time! I simply enjoy the company of a woman and like to be able to converse as well as 'knock boots' in the bedroom.

Well I don't think I am an OLDER woman! I am only 44 years young! lol. But to be honest, I am much happier today than when I was in my 20's. And I definitely know more what I like and how to please my man, too! So if that means I am older, so be it. Besides, Daniel is always telling me how OLD I am!!! Kids gotta love them!
