I love New Orleans...love it love it love it. And since all three trips I had planned to take there this year have been put on hold due to various issues I am now pining for a beinget.

Does anyone else feel my pain?

Why do You love new olreans?

3 for 1 Happy Hours. Razoo.

Drive ups where you can get Hurricanes to go.

New Orleans is the only American city I really feel the desire to go and visit these days. Never been but can't wait to spend some time there. I've been hoping to go for New Year's either this year or next.

mmmmm Frankie and Johnny's on Arabella. Their crawfish taste like they leapt outta the bayou, through some hot, wonderfully spicy water and landed on my plate.

And I really love their zoo.

I was there for my very first time, but only for about a day and a half, but here's my list.

- Preservation Hall

- Music Everywhere.

- Cafe Du Monde.

- Muffalettas from Central Grocery (and that you can have them and the Cafe Du Monde coffee and beignet mix shipped!).

- It's just a pretty city.

- That in my very short time, I didn't have to go far to find some fascinating stuff and that I've already thought of my itinerary for my next two visits.

- Pondering sex on the balcony of the hotel where I stayed. ;)

Oh yeah, let me add one more:

That there's a mound in the Audobon Zoo that was put there just so local kids could see what a hill looked like.

Be still my taste buds!

Cafe du Monde at 4AM and staying to watch the sunrise. Oh YES........ (and to think Bluesboy's never been there!)

I think we need a Lit-together in the Big Easy? Anyone up for that?????????

i love...

the lights in the trees on the Pat O's patio....

the benches in jackson square...

the smiling doorman at the Monteleone...

lucky dogs...

the house of blues....

the crisp of air of a cool november sunday....

the cat's meow...

sitting along the riverwalk watching the massive mississippi shift in front of your eyes...

trolley car ride down st. charles.....the garden district.....

cab drivers in white hats congregating outside of hotels...

the james michalopoulos gallery....

the sounds of early morning cleanup......hosing of brick sidewalks.....during early morning walks to cafe du monde....

the echo of jazz no matter where you are....

mmmmmmm memories.....one of the most romantic cities....a city to get wild in.....lose yourself......

I hear you...I love Love Love his work! Someday I'll actually be able to buy one of his pieces of work.

Between his studies of nola, which is my dream place to live and boston which is my hometown, I have yet to really find a piece that I didn't like.

I haven't been since last october...do you think I could go into such a craving that I might need to be moved there for my own health? Hmmm...wonder if my hmo would buy that?

I wanna go! I wanna go! I wanna go!

I feel like I'm the only one on the planet who hasn't tasted the pleasures of The Big Easy, and that I can no longer allow!

I am SO ready, 'Nawlins! Take me NOW!
