In Love

I'm in love.

I've got a hunch about forever, but I'm not going to speculate about it here. I'm enjoying every moment of it for now. :rose:

Don't give up hope, love. I believe yours is coming. (pardon the pun)

I just wanted someone to tell me something good. This isn't a pity party for me or anything.

Thanks, though.

But I have to admit to a developing crush... I consider that much safer than being in love.

I can have lots of crushes at the same time... and they can seem to last forever ;)

The last one lasted six years which is longer than many marriages.

Sincerely,
ElSol

Right? Well put, Mr. ElS.

Yeah, I've always sucked at following directions.

I'm in love. It lasts.

What she said. And what She said. Both of 'em.

Hmmm. actually come to think of it, I don't think my last crush is actually over. I keep writing about her; it can't possibly be over.

That makes it a 13 year crush... man, that's sad, and I haven't even seen her in 6 years. It could just be that I don't let crushes go, though.

Maybe when I'm on my deathbed, with my last breath I'll whisper the names of all my crushes.

Nora (The best ass ever... too bad she was twelve, but then again so was I!)

Doris (Another crush made into my fiction)

Yvonne (Ugh!!! The pain of being a shy teenage boy!)

Estrella (God, really outdid himself with this one... put the stun in stunning)

Alba (Even hotter than Estrella, and the way she used to smile at me... I wonder if she liked me?).

Cara (I'm an idiot! I know I'm an idiot, but that doesn't make it okay!)

Priscilla (Love them dancers!)

Sharon (She said "Why don't you take me dancing sometime?" and I said "Don't you have a boyfriend?" Like I said, I'm a fucking idiot).

Marissa (Oh... the name brings back images)

(BIG BREAK FOR MILITARY SERVICE)

Rachel (Quite likely THE ONE!)

Erica (Ever write a story that 400+ pages long and then realize it's all about one scene where you tell someone how you really feel about them... I don't recommend it).

Y... (This is an unconfirmed crush... personally, I think I'm too old for these anymore, and dammit that's going to be a very long last breath if I keep this up.)

You know... I think if I ever do fall in love, it's going to be forever considering my history with crushes.

Sincerely,
ElSol

I'm in love. Very in love. I adore my husband and we'll have been married 5 years this September.

Which considering virtually everyon we knew when we met 8 years ago said it wouldn't last is quite some achievement :p

I love looking back at my old crushes, too. And given the history of love, I'll take crushes.

I'm especially fond of crushes that are current! :nana: even when they're not returned, "unrequited love" is better than longterm taken-for-granted stuff. :p

Crushes are nice. Having never been in love before, I think I'll stick with crushes too for now. :)

My gf and I have been together for a year, after being apart for 12 years. I can honestly say that it's even better now than it was back then. When we got back together it was like not a day had passed. Realizing that we never should have broken up in the first place was like a slap in the face. All those miserable years could have been avoided.

I'd have to say that not only does love last, it lasts even when you don't want it to. I didn't want to love her anymore. As if I had a choice in the matter.

Been in love and married for nearly 18 years and it's only gotten better, especially when the kids are gone ...
