America was born because we couldn't stomach the incessant taxes and overbearing dictates from a weak king and oppressive ministers more interested in their own personal fortunes than the people they supposedly served.

Joe Biden is/was the modern day equivalent of that king. He didn't, as you say, care about the country, he sucked on its lifeblood until it began to die and then sucked harder to ensure that he left a legacy that people will remember.

The thing is, Biden, even in his declining mental state, was savvy enough to surround himself with cabinet members who were knowledgable and competent in their respective fields, experts enough to know how to make informed, fair, reasonable, and productive decisions about how the various facets of government should work. And thus, the government DID work, for everyone. Even if it was the cabinet, not the president, who actually ran it.

Trump, on the other hand, has hired an outspoken Klan member as Secretary of Defense, whose only goal seems to be to purge the military of all minorities. A secretary of Education who is against public education. A Secretary of Health and Human Services who would likely fail a junior high school biology class, and is against basic human health measures. A Secretary of the Interior who is against public lands.An attorney general who believes in using the military as Trump's personal Tontons Macoutes. In other words, he hires unqualified "Yes Men" who care nothing about the departments they oversee, other than to internally destroy them, or else use them to further Trump's own monetary ambitions, and who care nothing about the Constitution other than finding ways to subvert it.

This is, again, why Biden, incompetant and dopey as he was, was STILL far better for the country than Trump is or ever will be.
