Imagine

I know it was tough letting mommy england go 215 years after we kicked her ass out.
I truly enjoy when you show your lack of education. Which is a common trait among your kind.

The USA became a country independent from England on July 4 1776, after a bit of a war I might add. While Canada became a country on July 1 1867. So if we use those numbers, then it is only 91 years, not 215.

However it was not until 1931 that Canada received full independence ( commonwealth stuff you know nothing about I suspect). which would then be 155 years, still 60 years off your number.

Even if we look at when Canada finally passed it's own Constitution (Independence from Britain's Constitution) which was in 1981, the Queen approved in 1982, that number adds up to 206 years. I have no clue where you came up with 215 years, I guess 1991 has a special place in your mind.

Maybe you've been watching too much monkey porn?

Keep dancing because that's all you Dancing Monkeys do.

Care about canaduh? Nope. I just like to point out that you are a nosey, meddling, bitch.
Meddling in what exactly? Your ignorance? Nah I'm not meddling, just pointing out fact.

I'll give you that one. My original internet source was wrong.

If you had full independence in 1931 why the fuck did the Queen have anything to say about your constitution in 1982? Seems like the control was still there...

Can I ask what the source was. When I was responding I was trying to figure out what happened in 1991 that would cause you to think that?

To answer your question simply without getting in to all the Laws and Acts that made Canada ( and the other commonwealth countries of the old British empire). Our Government was to lazy to draft it's own Constitution in 1931. As the US can attest, writing one is no simple task, getting everyone to agree once written is just as hard.

Instead we just adopted the British Constitution, and since it was already the "law of the land" it went pretty well. That stayed in place until Pierre Trudeau decide in the later part of the 1970's that we should have our own Constitution. Once written and agreed upon by all Provinces, we needed the Queen to agree to dropping the British one (repatriation) since the Constitution of Britain is controlled by the reigning monarch.

Not at all Dancing Monkey. Not in the least.
Should I point out the potential Racism with using the term "monkey". Nah, I'll just let you keep on using that term, but a person who isn't racist might find another "dancing animal". Just a suggestion Hitch.

So if you needed the Queen's permission to adopt your constitution how were you a free independent country? It just doesn't make sense.

A monkey is an animal in the wild or at the zoo. Any racial overtones are implied by you and that makes you the racist not me. But if you prefer I can call you a Dancing Chipmunk you over sensitive little cry tit. You canadians seem awfully sensitive and prone to grandiose whining.

Lets try it this way, swap out your bill of rights, for the British bill of rights. You're still free, but following the "rights" set forth by Britain. Britain isn't enforcing any laws etc on you, you are just using their laws to follow in your own country.

So yes we're a free country, with our own ability of self determination, but we kept all the British components. So eventually we wrote our own "charter of rights and freedoms". It just took a few decades...far too many decades...

You can use any animal you want with your childish schoolyard antics. I was just pointing out there is a racial overtone with the term Monkey.

Whatever your racist little heart desires. Only a racist would turn every reference to a monkey into a racist attack. Now that we are clear you are a racist we can move on. Keep Dancing you Dancing Chipmunk.

racist meaning

characterized by or showing prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism against a person or people on the basis of their membership in a particular racial or ethnic group, typically one that is a minority or marginalized.

Well I may show discrimination and antagonism towards people, I never let the ethnic group they belong to be the driving factor...and you moving away from the term does add credit your statement earlier on, when I incorrectly called you one. Thanks!
