I think anyone who makes large, grand changes in there lives - due top relationships begat here on Lit or the Internet - is nuts.

Sorry again - it just ain't worth the gamble.

If you met the person IRL though, it would be okay to do it?

Does this mean I can't you and your love into my mansion and spend my vast millions trying to please you?

I think if you meet the person in real life it totally changes and is ok. Although I don't know really cause I've never met someone in real life through the net.

Some people do find forever-love via the net in all its incarnations.
The overwhelming majority find only heartache.

Be very careful in whom you place your trust and to whom you give your heart.
The good ones will be as cautious as are you.

Which goes for real life as well as on the net.

Face to face, over a glass of wine.....

and hopefully over a period of time....

would make all the difference in the world - yes.

"This" is shit. This would be stupid. This would be desperate.

No, but friendships and relationships over the net CAN help you get through the great upheavals in your life that you are going through at the time.

And I think it is true for RL relationships too. They are both a good source for bonds that can be there when you need them. And you have to be cautious in both places. People in RL can be just as deceptive as on the net.

Many internet relationships flounder in lies, it's easy to lie online. But there are some that come through, and some people that just don't lie. I'd like to count myself lucky that I've found someone that I can fall head over heels with in real life. But we met here. The only thing I can advise on is to be very careful, online and offline.

Exactly. I wasn't LOOKING for anyone. I was actually content being alone for once. But I was friends with him for over two years online and it just happened.

It only became THAT serious where I decided to move down to Florida with him AFTER it went to real life and became real.

But SPARKY you told me you loved me?

Oh and its over?

I think in your case, Sirenita, that it is a little of both ;)

More than just a lil me thinks

:p

BBB is the president! It was her damned idea, blame her!

No, If I was pissed off at her for something, I'd PM her.

Welcome back Sparky. I was just about to sign over all of my worldly possessions to my best online buddy, thank God you stopped me... :D

He is right here next to me

:p

Oh my god. Is he playing the expansion? Which character? Which act? Come on woman, the details.

I am playing the Expansion, Assassin about to go whack off Duriel, or vice cersa.

I must agree with the Sparkman.

Regardless of the few exceptions that may exist, I believe that you have to be out of your fucking mind to form any more than a superficial relationship with someone on the web. I would never, ever share anything personal with anyone in an email or a forum, under my real name. Call me paranoid. I call it careful
