I'm thinking about going to see a Helicopter.

I've been in some pretty intense traffic jams for about a month. How do they make them fly? Do they use magic bones and shake necklaces of gorilla teeth at them? I've never been in one.

Well, for one, you always want the motor to keep running when you're up there, just sayin'.

You should learn to fly one because it would be the perfect way to travel when the zombies rise.

Zombies don't fly.

Actually, if you toss them out of said helicopters they do fly, but not all that much, mostly in a straight down pattern.

A blimp would be good as well; although when you stop for fuel and food they are a bit ungainly if you need to do an emergency take-off.

The key would be to stay off the ground when the zombies take over.

Having seen Planet Terror, I'm aware of the potential utility of a helicopter in dealing with a horde of zombies.

But I wonder if a hot air balloon might not be the better choice, given the length of time it can stay airborne.

i was thinking about helicopters last night. if i had a large estate, there would be a helicopter landing pad in the middle of the inner gardens. this is only to be used for medical emergencies. yes. i drew diagrams.

Hot air balloons can only stay aloft as long as you have fuel to heat the air. They are not steered either. You wouldn't want to descend into the midst of the zombies.

What you want is a dirigible. Helium-filled, not hydrogen (think Hindenburg).

Do you know the cost of helium? Not to mention the difficulty of keeping it in an confined space. But yeah, the cost is the real crux.

length of time v distance covered in a shorter time and in the direction you want to go
