I have been thinking of starting a thread for awhile to provide a positive place for likeminded folks to join together and lift each other up. I think there are many on this site who are either currently or once upon a time found themselves in an abusive relationship. One thing I have learned in my journey is that abuse comes in many forms and those who have been blessed enough to not be in this position, don't always understand. So ladies and gents alike, share with us. I sat thru an amazingly ridiculous tirade tonight with my soon to be ex and all I could think about was how grateful I was to be in a position that I can remove my family from these continued experiences. I am hoping that this thread can provide some positive energy for someone who may need it, show those going thru it that there is a light at the end of the darkness, and anything else POSITIVE you would like to share. I am respectfully asking for the trolls to stay away, no negativity, and try to refrain from any horror stories, they are not helpful in any way. Here's what I'm hoping this thread will be:
Share any GIF's or pics that make you feel empowered
Share any part of your story if you feel comfortable doing so, especially if it helps you in your process or you feel it may help someone else.
Share any music that empowers you.
Any advice for those looking to get out?
