I'm scared right now

It's midnight here and I was falling asleep in bed when I heard banging on the neigbours door. It was some guys they owed money to over a car coming to collect I made out from the yelling. Real heavy looking dudes...

There was shouting and the mother called the police when they starting fighting in the driveway. Knives were pulled. I was peeking out my daughters bedroom window watching. There is blood all over their driveway.

The thugs took off but said they were coming back later tonight with more guys to beat the crap out of the 3 people there and wreck their home....

I am so scared. I know the police have been called so there is not much I can do....

I just know I will not be able to sleep for the rest of the night...

I know I will be jumping at every noise tonight. It is a good neigbourhood I live in. Just a couple of teenage sons that live next door that need a good kick up the ass.

Typical the first time in 7 years I have lived here and feel scared my Karate kick ass husband is not around.

TH that really sucks. If it was me I would wake hubby up, have a quick chat and possibly go to a friends, relatives or a motel for the night. Or call the cops yourself and ensure they are on their way. Otherwise I would be grabbing a stiff drink, and settling in for a long night.

Glad your kids didn't wake up.

I hope they don't come back and you can get some sleep.

The kids are really sound sleepers. I don't see much sence in leaving the house for the night and disturbing friends or family. I'm just not used to knife fights happening over the back fence.
