I'm amazed at how many people I know are totally soccer crazy:confused:

LOL Yes, you both are really good girls.....the best kind.

I haven't watched ANY of it and I'm not about to start.

People keep complaining about the "new" vuvuzealas, but I always remember watching parades and sporting events that had people using air horns that looked and sounded EXACTLY like the vuvuzealas.

I think its new for Europeans seeing these things for sure.

I will say the shows I've seen them mentioned on are with people who aren't exactly the "Sports" kind. (geeks and news anchors lol)

Thanks for your support of the Vuvuzella. It must be very new to Europeans but has, along with the "Makarapa" (the colorfully decorated hard hats the SA fans wear), been in our football culture for many decades. The Makarapa was introduced in the 1950's when a fan at a local club game saw another fan near him get hit on the head by a bottle thrown from higher in the stands so he borrowed a saftey hard hat from a friend. The Vuvu represents the the trumpeting of a bull elefant, representing it's strength for your team.

Eamon Holmes on Morning Sky News is not a fan but then he does winge alot.
The foreign fans have adopted a "if you can't beat them(Vuvu blowers not our football team) join them attitude" , I've witnessed it in the stand and streets.
