There's always something to argue about isn't there? If it isn't one thing its something else. And it seems that someone ALWAYS has to be right and someone ALWAYS has to be wrong. Or maybe not.
A long time ago I read a wonderful book entitled "Getting to Yes".(I believe that one of the authors is Mr. Uhre). It spoke of win-win resolutions rather than unending battles over positions that leave the parties shattered and worn.
Conflict sucks!!!! I have no choice but to deal wth it in my professional life, but I am burned out. The only thing that saves me is that I am fortunate enough that I don't have to go to work every day. Insofar as my private life is concerned, I minimize conflict by discussing issues of concern with family members and close friends. As for others who create conflict in my life, I generally ignore them, when possible, or deal with the problem and move on.
Stress from conflct is a real killer. I mean that literally. Ask a doctor.
