Jackoffking you with me?

In all seriousness, imma quit today. I don't need no gum, no patch or nothing else. How I see it, if you can't quit cold turkey then you shouldn't quit at all. I know I might slip once I take a pill, but only because I want to boost my high. But that's it's, that's all. So therefore if I'm not high, I'm not smoking.

"If I'm not high, I'm not smoking"

Glad to see you taking care of yourself, mate.

Been there, done that.
Smoked anywhere from a pack to two packs a day in my late teens to my mid twenties, then quit. Picked it up again after a real rough patch in my forties, about a pack every two to three days for a few years. Quit just over a year ago.

Takes about three days to get over the physical addiction. Takes anywhere from a couple weeks to a couple months to get over the mental habit, depending on the person.
For me, once I hit the two week mark, I'm pretty well in the home stretch. If I make thirty days, I'm good to go.

Quitting is easy. I did it a couple dozen times. Eventually a switch flipped in my head, changing from "It's OK to wake in the morning with my mouth tasting like the bottom of a birdcage" to "No, it's not OK." That switch must flip. Consciousness must change. There's a rule of personal transformation: YA GOTTA REALLY WANNA. IF YA DON'T WANNA, YA AIN'T GONNA. It really is that simple. Just do it.

Good luck Smooth!! I'm sure the laydees will prefer yer smoke free breath!!

Good luck! It took me 5 or 6 tried before I quit for good. Dont be hard on yourself if you have a slip up. :)

My father said the same thing about the 3 days.

Only thing about it is that anyone in my house smoke. So while I'm in the house nicking, they'll be smoking. :(

I quit smoking once; it wasn't worth it, so I started smoking again. I feel much better now.

You either smoke or you don't..decide you don't smoke and then don't

If you pick one up...then I guess you do

Good decision, Smooth! It will save you money too!
