Look people, if you're going to leave, leave. But if you take the time to post that you're leaving, well, we know deep down you don't want to go, and that it's really all about some unexpressed pique.

Siren, Patryn, Deborah and the few others who've expressed leaving I'd just to go on record with a "please stay." I like you all, and there really isn't any harm being done to you, so take a week off if you like, but come back.

Someone once said that "Man fulfills every potential he has, even if it's to blow himself up." I think Internet chat rooms are like that. Here we fulfill the epression of almost every thought we have, without the benefit of that little angel on the shoulder that keeps us in check in the real world. The angel that prevents us from saying gut impulse phrases like, "Hey, wanna blow me?" to the supermarket checkout girl.

We don't have to express every thought and take umbrage with every inane post just because there's a keyboard in front of us.

Don't go. Don't lose perspective. Stay.

Don't do that so early in the morning! Enough people have left, and then I see this! Don't do that man!

I usually don't respond to this type of thread as it seems to have very little effect to ask or even beg someone to stay. I'm very glad that DCL was doing it just for effect.

So many people that I enjoy on this board have taken leaves of absences or have left for longer periods of time. Many people that I thoroughly enjoy and truly miss. And that has left me sad at times.

Even if all of us don't personally interact with each other on the board, everyone that stays and establishes their own presence and identity plays a part in what this board is and will be. And when these people decide to leave it leaves an empty place in this community.

I would hope most of those that have established a presence here would eventually come back, because you are missed. And whether I or others here interact with all of you is not the point. The point is that you are part of this place and you are important and missed. I get something out of everyone that has become a part of this community whether I have ever spoken or interacted with you or not.

I think the only sensible option for our little psycho-friend is to take a break from the boards. She has been becoming more and more irrational and obsessed recently and this is unfortunately clouding her usual wit and intellect. I hope that she goes away for a few months and then comes back refreshed. Its really not her fault though. She has the immense burden of being religious and a NRA-fanatic and a man hater and an american and a SWF who drives a pick-up truck. This must be pretty hard on her pretty little head...

I wish her the best and know that she is irreplaceable. Where else will I find a sparring partner with as much persistence and endurance as her?

ROTFLMAO I am so glad that you are still around Dixon I was grinning just from reading the topic. Why do they all take it so seriously? It is to be expected to get shot at if you put a target on your ass. That is one of the things that irks me about the newbies is they piss and moan when someone says they are full of shit but cry if no one responds. Now it seems that several of the ones that have been here long enough to know better are slinking off whinning damn even Bruiser was able to handle the abuse sent his way and not get too upset.

I hate to see folks leave mad but it seems most of them lurk in the dark checking back ever so often. It is hard to break an addiction.
